They are ravenous! It's not like they don't have loads to eat in there anyways... I fear one day, when I put my hand in to clean up, they will eat it! 😄

Hi thanks for watching! Some species of isopod reproduce faster than others - Dairy Cows for example are crazy reproducers! Have fun with your terrarium build, make sure there are lots of hiding space and leaves - don't forget to make the soil quite deep as isopods like to bury themselves 👍👍

@@IsopodHouse last month I found a group of isopod, they are dark grey with some yellow spot on his back and now I’m take care of them in my terrrarium

I did a test with a real picture as a thumbnail (grasshopper one) a massive dive in views and reach... So I'm sticking with these, sorry.

Hi, I don't know how it happens, it was the same in my smaller tank! I have Collembola Springtails and also iridescent springtails (that always just magically appear), I may still have some globular in there as well... On top of that I do have some predatory mites that hunt the Springtails and hitch a ride on my pods from time to time - I did try and eliminate that problem by freezing the soil substrate for 2 weeks before putting it in, but it didn't work.

The tunnel they were a bit unsure of at first, then they got used to it, but the sides are a bit of an issue for the lower IQ lot... I keep putting leaves and twigs and things in for them to climb on... But they keep hoarding them in the tunnel.. grrrrr!! Haha

Oh or like bramble or raspberry leaves maybe...

I ordered some nettle/dandelion leaves, they don't look like the stuff I give them.... Oh no, I'll just have to order more treats for them....they are so Spoilt !!!!

Hi, I feed them more natural things like insects and bugs for protein, and pesticide free vegetables (they aren't super keen on fruits). I sometimes give them human food too occasionally - like chicken/pasta/etc.

@@samanthamaselli-jackman4676 it's also important for them to have dead leaves and rotting wood as that's their main diet. Check online for what leaves/wood are safe for them ,👍

Well you know what they say - Shrimps is bugs! With day time movement it depends on the species... Dairy cow isopods for example just don't care and will be out and about all the time. My magic pods are all a bit different, some of them don't care about anything, whilst others are a bit skittish - when I move my dolly too fast, the vibrations freaks one pod out and it runs away.. only that one, noone else cares! Haha
