Hi, can we use other dish soaps, other than Dawn?

Just a heads up..Braggs vinegar has sold out to a company that is linked to Bill Gates. Apparently Katie Perry and husband have bought Braggs and paired up with Gates. Gates is the one that uses APEEL as a preservative for apples that is carcinogenic...Some of the big health food stores have stopped selling Braggs vinegar because customers are complaining that it's not the same vinegar with the mother.It's best to make your own apple cider vinegar...you know where the ingredients come from

Saw this a few days ago and just tried it. Tried to search for it again to leave a comment and found others with spices.... it's good like this, but oooo I'ma try it with the spices too :D

Bet that's a potent blend! 👍 Yup, I use a similar, yet simpler mixture with great results. Works well on fleas and ticks too. Spray my lower pant legs and of course any exposed skin before going out. Bugs now leave me alone. Good stuff. My mixture is pint or so of warm water, a couple tablespoons of peppermint oil, and a light amount of Dawn dishwashing soap. I use it on myself and my dog when I can get her to stand still enough to apply it. 😅

You need Guinea hens, for just one season, they will desimate the tic population for years. Once they get adultish cut their food way back and they eat all bad bugs quickly.

My garden has a lot of what i think is spearmint, not peppermint. If I boil it down, do you think it will work as well as peppermint does???

I have looked in to limes alot. Stevia plant is better than an antibiotic. Faster with better out come the sweetner will work as well. And as for as your dog and cat...catnip in their food it puts a chemical in there blood ticks hate. But as a whole sprays with peppermint, eucalyptus and even lavender teally work as a repellant. Dr Jones on TH-cam is a all natural vet who really taught me so much. I pray this info helps anybody searching. May God bless you and keep you and your furry friends

Great recipe!, and ingredients nearly everyone has on hand! You might want to try planting peppermint around your yard/garden. I absolutely hate parasites and biting insects!

Picaridin on your skin and permethrin on your clothing. Haven't had a tick bite in the years since using it. If you're worried about the "chemicals," permethrin is derived from chrysanthemum, and synthesized so that UV light doesn't break down its insecticidal nature so quickly. Picaridin is a synthetic compound derived from piperine, found naturally in black pepper. Your peppermint oil is a blend of chemicals, and Dawn dish soap (also, chemicals) isn't exactly easy on your skin or great around aquatic life. They may work, just not as well, or for the same duration as what people have been using for millennia. Sidenote: Ticks transmit disease by saliva. They are not venomous.

I’m trying this. Found our very first tick on my husband’s ankle a short while ago after moving here almost a decade ago! Grrrrrrrr. Ticks are not a happy thing to find! This is the Pacific Northwest. At the edges of the Gifford Pinchot forest. Thanks a lot! I hope it works!

Thank you for sharing. It works as ticks breathe through their body and can't breathe with foreign oders so they go back to their natural habitat where they can then sense for a blood meal. Like mosquitoes do. Ivermectin for Lyme and the prevention of Lyme. Your animals take it for a reason, the same reason you should too. I'm a survivor but a now permanent sufferer of Chronic Lyme and Lyme arthritis.

Get Muskovy ducks or guinneas and they will eat them all gone.
