I was never a real lover of BMWs until I owned my 1 Series and it really changed my mind about them, these M4s are just stunning and drive amazingly!! I agree with you about the new M2 aswell, I know some people are very marmite with the looks but I love it!!!

I’m not that long ago got rid of my MX 5 I didn’t enjoy it probably because I’m an old fart, but didn’t like the flex in the body Didn’t really inspire me in confidence. I know they are good cars, but just not for me. Definitely go for a Evo

I drove a r reg diesel for years,it was very slow 😂 but it was a brilliant van never let me down once - I got a mk6 fwd to replace and was immediately disappointed that van had loads problems then Moved on to a mk7 which again was brilliant probably the best van ive had - not a fan on the customs they have loads of design faults for a tradesman’s use.

Great to see the 16i make the channel as I've been following it with keen interest since you purchased. Also the owner of a 16i that has gone through a similar journey but the saving grace with mine was the car was tucked away in a dry garage for 30 years so the shell survived with only very minor repairs needed. Disagree with the best colour though, Sunburst Red is the daddy LOL Look forward to seeing yours come together. Mine was finished back in the summer and the attention it draws is unbelievable
