Wait WAIT! Wimpy? He threw a fit when he found out about Dane's promotion? He had just taken yet another ass stomping by SEVERAL people. He is bullied in every way possible. Could YOU have taken the beating Max took by the 4 at the power armor scene at the entrance of Filly? Please don't call him wimpy! He's beaten down physically, mentally and emotionally. He's in survival mode; trying to keep his head down, I suspect that is another reason he wanted to go out into the wilds.

Hey I really hope you see this! My interpretation is that Maximus always idealized the BoS for saving him and rescuing survivors of Shady Sands. Maximus is massively disappointed when a Knight (someone well armed and armored) uses him as a human shield when the Knight has everything at his disposal to be the one in the line of combat. Rather than fight the bear, the Knight cowardly runs away as Maximus is shocked by the act of cowardice. He makes mistakes trying to fill the boots of a hero, and then is set on the right path by Lucy.

I know that BoS are not the good guys they think they are, but I like the fact that in the lastest Fallout 4 update, the Enclave tells their soldiers "Feel free to attack everyone ... Oh wait - There is a BoS airship in the area - Please - do not engage ... Like ever!" Still remembering that giant dose of Liberty, eh?
