“Let’s Go” … the most annoying overused phrase on TH-cam. 🤦♂️ Nice video though
Haha you got a point! I appreciate the support on the video though! Thanks for the comment as well! Tight lines!! 😁🎣
Nice job as always! Try adding some milk to your egg wash. Not a lot just a little. This makes it a bit lighter and not as heavy. Also try using panko breadcrumbs instead. Again it's a lighter recipe. Just a personal preference for me . I prefer the panko over Italian style bread crumbs. Another option is saltine crackers. Smash them up in a bag . That method is great as well.
Need to find crappie in my area wanna try it 👍🏾👊🏽
@@impala6524 you won’t regret it man!! Haha I appreciate the comment! Tight lines! 😁🎣
good to see you back on the grind. 🤘
Thanks! It’s good to be back! I’m trying my hardest! I appreciate the comment and the support! Tight lines! 😁🎣
Black crappie. Here on lake Levon, Tx. 10-13” is the average. White crappie average a bit bigger. PB 16 3/4” it was a white crappie. My opinion, best eating fish in the lake. Enjoyed the video. Good job
That’s awesome to hear! 16 3/4 is a monster if you ask me haha! Good job on that catch! I appreciate the support on the video and the comment!! Tight lines!! 😁🎣
It's a black crappie. They get huge here in Florida. We have a hony hole up in Claremont at lake Louisa. That's the only fresh water fish we eat. Really good beer batter fried on a sandwich. Awesome video. 🎣🎣
@@MrCoop I appreciate that info!! I figured that’s what it was but only because of the color! Wasn’t sure at all I have to target them now and try them beer battered!! Haha thanks for the support and the comment!! Tight lines! 😁🎣
We always called them Speckled perch. We used to catch a bunch at ocean pond
@JfishyYT this time of the year they start biting. Especially once the water cools off. Just get you a bag or two of crappie jigs or minnows. Using the minnows with a slip bobber and no heavier than 6 lb test. 2 lb braid works great. Hope this helps. The long docks get you out to the lilly pads. No boat that's where you want to be. Hard catching them from shore..
Do they always get this big?? Haha cause if so I gotta target them more! Thanks for the info and the comment! Tight lines!! 😁🎣
Awesome! I truly appreciate that info! Like I said I rarely do freshwater since there is so much saltwater around me! But if it taste this good I’m for it! Haha
Flooded is right 😂. Great video 🤙🏾
I’ll be honest I think that’s why the bite was good though haha! I appreciate the support as always and the comment!! Tight lines! 🤙😁🎣
Yoooo you ever see sheephead out there?
Yooo bro! I actually have but I usually can’t get them to eat! Although I’ve for sure seen others catch decent keepers! I used to always catch small ones with shrimp! Thanks for the comment and support bro! Tight lines!! 😁🎣
Let them eat. Wait a bit longer before setting the hook. I've noticed especially with snook and live bait that they sometimes inhale the bait, then spit it out and then eat them. I am not sure why they do this but being a bit more patient will pay off.
Thanks for the tips! Funny enough it felt exactly like that’s what happened sometimes during this trip like they inhaled and spit and the ate again! I appreciate the comment man!! Tight lines! 😁🎣
Nice video dude 🤙🏾
Thanks for the support in the video glad you enjoyed it dude! I appreciate the comment as well! Tight lines!! 🎣😁🤙
Where is this place?
I think it might be a park. Look on Google earth for parks near the coast with fishing piers. It might be EG Simmons Park in Ruskin, Fl.
@ thanks
Great catching for sure. You nailed it on this one, thanks for a great video.
Heck yeah! I finally found em! Haha I appreciate the support as always and the comment! Tight lines!! 🎣😁
Hey. I fish there often. Try free line out there. And large and jumbo shrimp work good. I caught a 24” and 20” red last Saturday.
Hey there! That’s awesome to hear! Glad someone’s catching them haha thanks for the tip I have to try that next time! I appreciate the comment and tight lines!! 🎣😁
Awesome to be seen by a follower 👍🏾👏🏾
Heck yeah man! Always a great feeling meeting you guys out on the water! Thanks for the comment and tight lines!! 🎣😁
I promise you that there is absolutely no better all-around live bait than Greenbacks or Pilchards, as I call them. If you know of a bait store that sells them, BUY THEM! The bigger the better! They are a snooks main forage, especially in Mangrove areas! Any slot, and over slot, snook can & will eat the largest pilchard you can find! The biggest problem with them is you need a recirculating baitwell to keep any quantity. This is also important! J, use those BBK circle hooks I gave you and hook them in that boney hard spot right above the mouth, and don't hook them up and down, but side to side! That way, it's pretty hard to throw them off, and it won't hurt them as you won't be hooking them in a vital area! Those BBK's are lighter weight, smaller in diameter, yet still stronger! So the Pilchards can still swim almost as good as one that is not hooked, ALMOST! Predators can sense that he's lively, but something is just a little bit off! So they blast it! That is nature's way! One more piece of advice for everyone! In bait shops and Amazon, keep an eye out for a paperback book called: Capt. Scott Moore's Snook Fishing Secrets. It was written by G.B. Knowles. Scott Moore is the all-time authority on snook and fishing for them. He has literally caught and released thousands! He probably catches 2-300 every season! He teaches you to think like a snook! If you are serious about snook fishing, it WILL be the best $10 to $15 you ever spent! In fact, I need to find mine and read it again! You can't put it down! Good luck everyone, now is the perfect time to get out there, and as JFishy says, get some "TIGHT LINES."
That book sounds like it holds a lot of secrets! Hopefully I can keep cast netting them to be able to use them more often because after seeing how shiny they are in the water it completely makes sense why they’re such a good bait! Haha I’m hoping we don’t get a red tide although I’m hearing more about it coming in so I hope not! As always Will we appreciate all the info and tips!! Tight lines brother! 🎣😁
@JfishyYT Before you build your baitwell, if you want to fish with pilchards then pick up one of those cheap Styrofoam coolers and put them in that! For some reason, Styrofoam holds oxygen really well! If you have a freeze pack or two, throw those in there, too! If your bait well is a bit cooler than the water you are fishing, the pilchards get really lively when they hit the warmer water! Try those BBK'S as they will put much less stress on your baits! And once really look at their nose structure, you will see why I said it's the perfect place for a hook! I think I gave you 3 sizes of BBK hooks! 3/0 is perfect for pilchards, threadfins and finger mullet, while 4/0 are great for large mojarra, pinfish and grunt/pigfish which are my favorite medium size baits! The 5/0 are what I use for mullet and ladyfish. The ONLY time you should be using long shank J hooks is for toothy pelegics and flounder. I won't even use them for sheepshead because they are too damn picky! This time of year the key is to scale down your hardware, while still fishing structure! Good Luck!
Where the 2 snook you smelled at the boat ramp killed from red tide or where they filleted left overs that someone caught?
Sorry I forgot to say that they were filleted and seemed to have just washed up on shore from the tide! Not dead from red tide! Thanks for the comment and tight lines! 🎣😁
Great vid brother 💪💯. Try free lining next time more natural presentation.
I appreciate the support bro! I should’ve tried that for sure! Thanks for the tip and the comment! Tight lines 🎣😁
@JfishyYT anytime brother 🤙💯
i used to have that rod and reel combo. i stuck a pflueger reel on that gx2 ugly stick during the pandemic. the drag on that red reel got smoked.

Thanks for sharing your fishing trip, it is always entertaing.
As always I appreciate the support man!! Thanks for the comment and tight lines! 🎣😁
The salinity is a lot lower all over after the storm. The fish are definitely still around, been catching lots of snook and tarpon in flooded freshwater areas. You might not be getting on them because the pattern you're used to in those spots is different with the much lower salinity. I couldn't get a good look at those small fish but they did look like tilapia. If those are tilapia, your spot has a LOT of freshwater and you might do better somewhere else if you're looking for saltwater fish. Keep up the good work and positive vibes! tight lines! 🐠
I really appreciate all that info! I figured that there was a lot of freshwater around since all that flooding that happened I’m guessing that those smaller fish were definitely tilapia if that’s the case! Thanks for the comment and support on the channel! Tight lines!! 🎣😁
Yeah man. Fishing post hurricane is difficult. Depending on the areas hit it could push heavy populations of fish far away. But it will get better over time.
That’s what I figured! I appreciate the info man since like I said I’ve never fished after a hurricane yet alone such a devastating one to our area! Thanks for the comment and tight lines!! 🎣😁
Lol!!!! I've finally got you figured out. And YOU pointed it out yourself! In watching you, you're correct! At this point, you don't have the patience for natural bait fishing! You don't go fishing with the right frame of mind for natural bait. Here's what I mean! When I go, I go to just be there and enjoy nature! If I happen to catch something, GREAT! If not, it's still GREAT! Again, put a few spikes in the ground, throw out 2-3 rods with mullet, lady fish, grunts, pinfish, or mojarra. (That's the order of my preference anyway), and preferably live! If needed, I'll put on a weight with a rubber band or anyway so it will come off in a fight! Then sit your butt down in a folding chair and pop open a beer or fire up bone, or whatever floats your boat, and CHILL! Check your baits once in a while and make any nessacery adjustments, then CHILL some more! If possible, I try to put a live bait on a bobber. Chilling properly does take a little practice, but it works! Get up and work your artificial occasionally or when you see something going on while remembering to "match the hatch." Btw, I would have put those Talapia on "live" in a heartbeat! Imo, you don't have to chase content. Relax and let it come to you! Lastly, Check your texts and get back to me! 😊
Haha it seems you have finally figured me out Will 😅 I think my real reason for not doing that kind of fishing is the fact that it hasn’t worked for me yet but like I do say often I know once I catch that first big one I’ll be hooked lol I wasn’t aware I could legally use those tilapia for bait or else I would have! I appreciate the advice as always! Thanks for the comment and tight lines! 🎣😁
@JfishyYT Tilapia are an invasive species in Florida! You can practice batting with them if you like! lol I'll even pitch them to you if you'd like! lol They are terrible for our natural ecosystems as they compete with our native species and eat their young! You said "chillin" while fishing hasn't worked for you! Remember! *If you are relaxed, it already worked! *When done properly with the proper equipment live bait will out fish artificials EVERY SINGLE TIME! Here's another tip you won't like but it's HUGE! Stop throwing your net where you are gonna fish!!! Get out your brand new areator and go by some live large or select size shrimp. Free line them with a 20lb. florocarbon leader and hook them just under their horn. This is fun because if there is fish anywhere around you'll see your shrimp flipping like crazy on the surface. They are good at avoiding getting eaten, but it's fun to watch! If you have to, put on a split shot! Then it's all over for him but the crying! Stay tuned! I should be hearing about next week anytime!!!
Yea, those are tilapia, caught many reds on them before
Interesting! I appreciate that info! I wasn’t even sure if I could use them as bait especially not being sure on what they were! I appreciate the comment and tight lines! 🎣😁
Went out 10/22 caught four keeper size sheeps! Biggest was 17inches.. They are deff out there I’m in your area! I fish out there all the time!
Heck yeah that’s awesome to hear!! The one thing I didn’t have that I’m sure would’ve maybe bettered my chance was shrimp! I appreciate the tip and the comment! Tight lines!!🎣😁
Fishing not catching!! Alot of freshwater is still in the bay
Exactly bro! I’m hoping it ain’t too long cause I need to hear some drag soon! Haha I appreciate the comment and support as always! Tight lines!! 🎣😁
@@JfishyYT soon as the water starts to clear the fall bite should be in full swing! You know where youll find me jiggling
Just wanna give you heads up I heard that the red tide is in around some areas in Tampa Once again great content and really enjoy watching your videos !
That’s what I’ve been hearing! I tried to look it up online and I can’t find much but I had a feeling because some areas had a weird smell! I appreciate the heads up! Thanks for the comment and support! Tight lines!! 🎣😁
Once the water starts to clear up the fall fishing should be really good. Be patient, keep trying.
I appreciate the advice! I’ve never fished after a hurricane so I figured that it stirred everything up! Thanks for the comment and support! Tight lines!! 🎣😁

Hey man, is this East or West Coast?
Hey man!! Most of my content is west coast near Tampa bay and its surroundings! Thanks for the comment and tight lines! 😁🎣
You need to purchase a pier net so you can land those fish from up high....
Glad to see your fishing outings and that you're holding up after Milton. What a crazy storm! Hope you didn't have much damage. Can't wait to get out there and do some fishing! God bless you bro!

Get one tarpon rig together. Throw a paddle tail (NLBN) reel it in slowly and boy it will happen ✊🏼
Last time I seen them out I tried the NLBN’s and they still didn’t bite it was the 3 inch paddle tail I need to throw a k tail at them maybe that will interest them! Haha thanks for the tip tho and tight lines!! 😁🎣
Congratulations on reaching 1.5k bro it's amazing seeing your reaction on your sucrcribers and it'll only keep growing! Keep us posted with more videos man! I'm from Texas and just got to tampa for clean up work and I've been watching your videos for awhile for tips!
Thanks for the support bro! I hope you’re right haha hopefully after this hurricane stuff clears I’ll be able to fish more because at the moment a lot of my spots are closed unfortunately but I’ll find some spots to throw some cast in haha! I appreciate the comment and tight lines!! 🎣😁

I was so excited when I saw you throw that pin fish over near the mangroves. I was just hoping it was still attached to your line! 😂
Haha I really should’ve and later in the day it would’ve definitely been awesome to have once those tarpon started showing up!
What pier are you on?
What bait was popping out there? Saw lots of commotion going on and curious what it was.
I was trying to get a good look it looked like small glass minnows but bigger bait fish were eating them as well and I couldn’t figure out what they were! I tried to cast net them off camera but couldn’t get any they were fast! I assume skip jacks not sure though! Thanks for the comment and tight lines!! 🎣😁

I'm so glad to see you made it through your rough times. Way to stick it out! That said, I don't know what I'm going to do with you! lol 1. Didn't I give you a bridge net? ALWAYS, have that "on the ready" or you are going to be so mad at yourself! SOON! You will keep losing PB's until you make it a habit. The biggest fish come from bridges, piers and docks this time of year! 2. Cut ladyfish is one of my favorite baits for Tarpon and Bull Reds and it's an easy way to fish. When the ladies are around, put a chunk on your tarpon rod, and use the rest for chum chunks on the bottom! While your tarpon rod is out, secure it and go back to doing whatever you were doing! If you can catch more ladies, save a chunk & chum the rest! Learn to multi-task! I know it's not easy when you are alone, but if you first get everything you need near you, you CAN do it! 3. When you hook a big Tarpon on a bridge or pier, the goal is not to land him! It's to get as much good content as possible, and that's all. Then try to get him to throw the hook or cut your leader as close to the hook as possible! 4, When Tarpon are around, don't forget about your NLBN jigs, and mullets! Remember how many tarpon and snook that Lazaro catches, and that is all he uses! Also, remember that the thousands of big female snook have returned to the backwaters and docks, from the summer spawn in the passes and beaches. So it's "time for a little boom-boom." That is our magic phrase that we have relied on since the 90's! Try it, it works! lol 5. When there is so much top water action happening, break out your Super Spook or Junior Spook that I sent you and "walk the dog!!!" There is nothing more fun than watching Spooks get blasted out of the water! It's becomes very addictive. 6. Put a different artificial on each of your rods and have them "on the ready." 7. You said that when fishing with artificials, it's not luck, and I agree! But it's not just knowing where to throw either. Remember this! When it comes to jig fishing, you have a great natural pop-pop that works well with the action of that rod you use. But also remember that as the water cools in the fall, you are going to want to gradually slow your pace down. If your pop-pop isn't working, then try, 1-pop, 2-pops, 3-pops, then back to 1-pop, 2-pops, 3-pops, and repeat. There have been many times for me, that is all it took. 8. Last but not least. I realize that you are limited with what you can do, by what your car can carry. Maybe, it's time to start thinking trading your ride for a truck! Even a small one! Mine is a HUGE help! Keep up the GREAT quality of your videos, and you'll have another 1.5K before you know it!
As always will I appreciate the tips! Also as always you’re probably correct haha but man it’s tough when I’m out there alone for the most part but I try to keep all the tips you give me in mind however most of the time I just tend to focus on the fish and completely forget but I am trying to upgrade my skills now for sure I’ll have a lot more time and energy once I get through everything going on right now and I hope to start slaying the bigger fish! Thanks again Will for everything as well as not giving up on teaching a hard headed beginner 😅 tight lines man!! 🎣😁
@@JfishyYT Lol, I've fished with you, so you can no longer claim rookie, beginner or amateur status! lol J, you know what you are doing, it's all in getting a consistent method so it all becomes second nature. If you can just manage to put 2 rods out with live or natural baits and secure them so you can tighten you drag just enough to set hook automatically, to give you enough time to grab your rod and tighten it a bit more. And use a 3rd rod to throw artificials, you won't believe how many more fish you'll catch! I really hope that your subscribers understand why you can't post where your favorite spots are. It's not personal, but I've seen what happens when you post them online and it isn't pretty. They can quickly become a spot you never want to fish again, and good spots are too hard to find these days!
Glad to see you made it through storm 2. Cool to see ya back on the water.
I appreciate the support! This hurricane season was tough but we made it through 🙏 glad to be back able to make content for you guys! Thanks for the comment and tight lines!! 🎣😁
