I grew up in a village like this, and it was much more isolated...where a hot dog with everything was the sunday dinner, because I was so sick of fish, they were out of it, prawns... 7 year me, I was furious..I went out into the storm and started climbing the mountain, in the hight winds, the phones worked, so my mom called my uncle...I was 280 m up the mountain. "You can't whine about food", "I'm sick of fish, all you have is fish", "I'll take you tomorrow, to the store, you can pick anything you want, then in the store, what is that?", the only bird I had tasted was raven/dove/swan, raven tastes very bitter. dove tastes like less than fish... swan tasted like eating a flower...it is sour and soap like... disgusting meat...it flew onto our window and died and my mom just cut it up and cooked it...That is how life iwas in country towns and how it is when you don't have roads..

This is an awesome series, how wholesome were that family?! If i should ever visit Iceland in my time i'll be sure to head to the cafe and ask about them as dads workshop is just heaven.

I don't understand why Alan Gorithm isn't pushing these videos and this channel more. They are made with such passion and a joy for life's experiences, people deserve to be watching these far more than the majority of nonsense on here!
