After hearing all the stories about ‘the tail’ was expecting an off cambered, rough surfaced double helix type monster, instead saw what looked exactly like a Sunday run out to Fort William up the A82. So how are so many people binning it on ‘the tail’ ? Looked fun on the 14 though 🤭🤘
@nickvinten7803 I rode this two weeks after they repaved the entire thing. My first trip to the tail a year before was that rutted up crappy road you heard about

That makes the bike even funner. Did u use the brakes or did the low gear provide engine braking ?
In 2nd gear the majority of the time. Touched 3rd gear only once or twice on the straight a ways
i have a 2016 versys 1000 that i love, but have always considered moving up to the connie. love this thing. really want the shaft drive and more power.

Led Headlight Led Tail Light Xitomer Fender eliminator Xitomer engine guards Renthal Bar Pad Protaper Grips Wheel graphics Spoke skins Amazon sticker pack Aftermarket mirrors Stock Coolant Flushed and replaced with engine ice. IMS Wide Pegs More street oriented tires that suck offroad but have great tire life and Performance wise It's all stock because I'm currently building a 2022 klx300

@Grimulas thank you man but I cant answer that question for you I have multiple air cooled bikes that are alot hotter than this thing at its hottest so I wouldn't be able to tell

@Grimulas have you considered getting the bike tuned my 15 has the Ivan's Tune and one of the things it does is turn on you're cooling fans at a much lower temperature.

Only first gen had heat on legs issue. I think it is 2010 and up with the revised fairing. I know my 2011 has new style, which was important to me daily driving in Alabama.

I just look at Google earth and look for any trails in the woods
If you want to meet some local bikers go to Blip Roasters on sunday mornings. Lots of friendly people ready to talk about bikes.

I love my tuned (MRP) 2018. Sure, i wish it had cruise control.... but that's really my only gripe, and it's a minor one. The power and comfort, along with ability to control air for riding in below freezing tennis makes it the best bike I've I've ever owned for living in the rust belt and riding almost all year sind.
i would agree with you on the need of a cruise control seeing that its a touring bike but other than that it really is the perfect bike for sport touring.

@NoneYaBidness762 absolutely to get to this road I was riding was about a 30 minute ride at 70mph and it did it just fine
@@damarcuz1 I had an 1100 ACE and it needed a 6th gear pretty bad for anything over 60.
@NoneYaBidness762 I had one too but the fury with that 200cc boost and fuel injection has a bit more power and can cruise at 70 a lot better. I actually raced a good friend on his shadow 1100 with my fury a couple weeks before this and it pulled pretty effortlessly
@@damarcuz1 Good to know. My biggest problem with the Shadow was the power. I came off an ‘86 GSXR-1100 though. So the bar was fairly high.
@@NoneYaBidness762 yeah that's a pretty huge difference if I were you I would look into the Yamaha raider instead my old one had 100 hp 120 tq and a top speed of 150. They can be bought for about the same price as a Honda fury $5500-$6500

Enjoyed the vid!! The FURY is, to me, the most beautiful looking motorcycle made. Great proportions, great build quality, long, low, lean, narrow, stretched and svelte...just like a gorgeous fashion supermodel wearing high heels. LOVE the aesthetic of the Honda Fury! I've been a motorcycle 'performance guy' for some 4+ decades and I love my current Speed Triple and 1st gen Monster 900, but man, that FURY is just too sexy...it's so good looking that when you finished riding it and are walking away from it, you cannot help but look back and admire it. FANTASTIC.
