One more issue I came across with KORG PA 5X when you insert a sample loop in percussion or drum. It doesn’t sync properly with accompaniments I think overall the midi system has an issue .

OMG! Just found this video and you have SAVED MY LIFE !!! I have been battling with the pitch-bend joystick for months since it went out of calibration somehow, and when looking at it through a MIDI analyser centre should be 64, full right X should be 127 and full left X should be 0, but for months when going full right X and returning to centre, it went to 54 causing every sound to be severely flat ! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO. Now just need to find a way to calibrate the EXP-2 expression pedal so that it's not as sensitive as it currently is (the slightest foot movement of the pedal has an immediate and unwanted several dB volume change) .. Ideally I would like full back to be half-volume (not ZERO volume), and full forward to be full volume - this will allow me to more finely control dynamics.

Hi Faik, I believe Korg PA5X internal Midi has an issue with sample loops when I import loop samples in percussion or drum, it does distort the sound and doesn’t sync all the variations with Fill and intros properly and also it doesn’t chop the loops properly for an example 6/8 4/4 or 7/8 it chops samples in a weird number of slices very inaccurate. I don’t know if you have any issues with your keyboard.

agreed with you this new update that has lot of “new” issues, however we should thank to Korg’s team for a bolt move from old Pa1x-4x system architech to new. Also, pubic beta tester is great idea, but I think Korg wants to keep it in secret. You have a great initiative, thanks

Hello Faik, You are absolutely right. Do you think because of new update? I converted genos style to korg style, everything works properly except chords. Chords are playing off.

Really korg pa5x have a very bad problems os software 1.3.0 very shit cone on korg pa4x is Still better but pa5x it a big change but i will never waste money to buy pa5x

The keyboard shuts down because you set values ​​lower than 11.025 Hz, in your case 8000 Hz, and the manual says this: "You can load samples (mono or stereo) in a 8 or 16-bit resolution, and a sampling frequency rate from 11,025 to 48,000Hz. Loaded samples always preserve their original resolution." Try to convert the sample above 11,025 Hz and I guess the PA5X will stop crashing. By the way, I also have a problem with the Korg PA5X- it stop playng when I play bass in the left hand, play drums and in the right hand I change different sounds. I have some thing on my channel but this i fixed because pa5 cant reand unliked samples if you want this to fix you need to delete go Rec/Edit , Sample Edit , (3 dots upper right) Delete and check NOT ASSIGN TO ANY MULTISAMPLE/DRUM KIT and Done no rebooting ;)

It must definetely be a problem wiht the "international" version ! I tried the styles from the video ( as far as I have them ) in "Musikant"-Version, no Problems at all

Appreciate your honest review and feedback to Korg. As you mentioned there is NO WAY to report to Korg and get their support other than the website which invariably contains outdated info. Hopefully, the engineering at Korg is listening to our feedback and taking it seriously to improve the quality of the software. The PA5X is no doubt a great piece of hardware, but it also needs some serious reliable SW to make it outshine. Thanks once again for your informative video; I'll check out the bug you reported and confirm it from myside too.

Good morning Faik, I can only confirm the problems. I work with Global Sound Sweden. I spend many hours every day on the KORG PA5X and after the latest update many new problems have arisen. The system freezes so that you have to restart every time. I have not installed any USER sounds or styles, just to test the new update. Everything has also been reset to the factory settings, but unfortunately the problems still occur. I also wrote something about this in the keyboard forum. That is not professional and unfortunately I cannot use the PA5X live on stage because I do not know when it will fail again. That is simply unacceptable. I do not understand KORG's whole policy. They have so much potential, but simply leave customers alone with very poor or no support at all.

I think new update not come. Next step is change the complete keyboard. In my opinion come new big screen like tablet and softweare implemented direct to tablet.

Faik I do appreciate your honest opinion about the product. You’re absolutely righ Korg must run it through you and you’re absolutely right you’re doing it free of charge for them. They should appreciate it as much as we do as a consumer Because I was a Korg user for a very long time I always watch your videos because you’re full of knowledge The reason I sold the 5X back because of the issues it had when they launched I was very unhappy after the new OS update. I decided to buy it again, but seems like there’s still issues and I checked it out, one more important issue that I see did not added step recording It’s very important. You don’t want to write a beat and go edit it manually for the quantization
