Thank you for sharing this pattern, it is beautiful. I look forward to making a baby blanket with it as well as a few other things. I hope you do not mind, I have been crocheting for many years and have crocheted hundreds of baby blankets in those years and while I understand using a smaller hook than the yarn label suggests to show the stitches better in a video is useful, it also produces a very stiff fabric. If one is new to crocheting and making a baby blanket, I suggest the Crocheter use the recommended hook size on their pack of yarn so their fabric (blanket) has a softer movement or drape which is required for a baby blanket and wrapping the baby or even choosing go up one full hook size. Having a very stiff fabric (which comes from using a smaller hook) is not the fabric one wishes to create for a baby blanket. Of course there are many things where a stiff fabric and thus using a smaller hook is appropriate, such as placemats and coasters for a table, a rug, even making stuffed toys (amigurumi), for example.
