I have never had any luck with the baffle over the feeder. The squirrels figure that out. However if you have a pole and can put the baffle on the pole (and have the pole far enough away where they can't jump to it. . . it will work. Climbing up a pole and getting to the baffle they can't figure it out. This baffle has saved me tons on seed that squirrels used to eat. . . but again only when on a pole. Hope this helps but let me know if you have any questions or want to see my setup on the pole.

@@reginacoker4120 So Moultrie is the same company as Wingscapes (it is just their birding division) vs. Moultrie is their hunting division. The one I have in the video is the older version of the link I sent you. You can remove the middle section of the new version so that it is shorter (or use it to give you a longer extension).

Thanks for the comment. I agree, I have gone to glass with most of my feeders. Easier to clean, hold up better and look nicer. Happy Birding!

Nothing about the feeder. . . .but lots of trees and hawks around. I am guessing they are just being cautious.

Hi Janet, don't worry about opening the back (that just houses the batteries which you shouldn't need to mess with). Look at the cylinder on the cord (see 2:50 in the video). . . . open it as I show in the video and make sure you have it set on 6v (vs. 9v or 12v). Check that and let me know.

I have tried all ideas without luck. I have another panel for a Trail camera that worked without issue. Think I just got a Dud. Back to Amazon. Thanks! The camera is great fun.

I purchased another panel and it worked perfectly right out of the box. Something was wrong with the first panel. Amazon listed this as an “often returned item”.

Thanks for the comment. So we had an aluminum birds choice house out for the last 3 years and never could get martins. Not sure if they just didn't like the house or location or what. These plastic S&K houses are what our neighbors have and they have return martins each year so that is why we wanted to try these this season. Will keep you posted how it does.

@BirdJumble I forgot to mention, the Starling resistance crecent openings have been chewed up pretty good enlarging the holes. Not sure if my Martin's did it, or predators. If it gets too hot, I've seen folks use misters.

I still like it a lot. This is the 3rd brand I have tried (the others were Birdfy and LUJII). This one is my favorite because of the solar panels built into the feeder. Works great, video quality is very good. I have mine roughly 30 yards from my wireless router and my signal strength is full. Not sure how far I could actually go (and I would assume it might vary depending on your wireless router). I have been really happy with it, if you use the link in my video description when ordering, it will help my channel (you don't have to but it would be appreciated if you do). Also it is Amazon, so if you don't like it you could always return. I did not subscribe to the A.I. Bird app so I can't speak to that (I can identify the birds in my yard without the app) and did not want to pay for anything. I like it so much I am planning on ordering one for my mother in law for Christmas. Hope that helps.

I’m having some issues with my feeder like this. The videos record 10 seconds but almost always stop at 4 seconds in. Occasionally it will show the full length that it says it recorded (5 or 10 seconds) but mostly stops at the 4 second mark. It has only started doing this - I’ve had it up about 4 months. Any ideas?

Hi there from Texas. So it is funny we have mockingbirds everyday here (our State Bird). . . Oriole's I only get about 1-10 days per year when they are passing thru during migration. Summer Tanager's I hardly ever see so I got lucky this year. Some of the footage in this video (of the mockingbird and summer tanager) was taken with my Panasonic FZ70 point and shoot camera. The Oriole's I captured with my Blink XLT camera setup on the feeder. Hope that helps, happy birding!

Thank you, the trees in my yard are Loblolly Pines. I hate them, but they attract lots of birds :).
