A beautiful ancient Basilica built by St Emperor Constantine
thank you for making this !! as a seventh grader, i need to make one over the holidays (my humanities teacher gave us no instruction). this is a great guide to know where to start.
Does it work on bisque ?
@@hulyasahin7814 not to my knowledge
My jingle bells had a delightful tinkle after they were bisqued and then high fired with no glaze. But after I applied 2 coats of acrylic paint the tinkle was dull and clunky. Why???
Very nice video. Thank you for making this
Hi, thanks so much for your informative videos & generous sharing. Which 3 primary colors of Velvet Underglaze would you pick for mixing? Thanks so much in advance!
@@mahoneybee v-308 yellow, V-387 bright red, v-386 electric blue
Gracias !!
De nada!
I did this and half the transfer didn’t stick and paper bits are all stuck to the clay. What did I do wrong?
I suspect the clay was not wet enough and the paper was too wet
The wetness of the clay/ paper is a little finicky. Try it a few times.
@@mountpennart Could the paper thickness have anything to do with it?
Does the printed part of the image transfer or just the underglaze?
Just the underglaze
So amazing. That voice. I love it.
Incredible!
Thank you
Rob, this is beautiful!
Thank you!! It was a special moment.
Beautiful.
The dome was not designed with tall people in mind
He’s so tall!!❤
How do U glazed it?
I just got a nice turquoise glaze and brushed it on with three coats
THATS SO COOL!!!!!!!
Shedding beautiful happy tears, Brother!!! I’m so happy for you!!
Thank you. It’s been beyond words
what is slip?
Slip is clay mixed with water. I put mine in a blender for my students. It should have the consistency of a smoothie. If you’re feeling lazy, water will also work.
@@mountpennart do you have online classes?
Are you crying every day from how beautiful it is?!?! 🥹
You would not even believe it
Stunning!! Also a reminder to not pick your nose in public. You never know who may be recording a video. Lol
I've got shivers down my spine ❤
With those dumb pally flags flying in the background really ruins the view
You mean the Italian Naval Flag the guide was using for her tour?
My heart is smiling for you!!!
🤩😮🥹just wow
Sir, we did it 🫡🫡🫡
Incredible! 🥹
Great explanation!
So beautiful, thank you for being so thorough in your teachings. I will definitely be trying something similar now that you've inspired me!
Thanks I used this in my ceramics class
Woo hoo!! 👏
That was Awesome !! Thank you !!😊
I am a normal Romanian boy who did a dreidel out clay from the hill, the tail is a little stick from a walnut tree and I'm so proud of it. Thanks for the inspiration.👍
😍
oh!! I'm about to try this myself today. I wondered if the photocopy should be printed in laser printer or inkjet or if that doesn't matter. Any particular notes and concerns that I should be aware of before trying? such as the paper type? Thanks for this wonderful tutorial!
Great video brother! So helpful! And your voice is so calming. PS. I love the specifics “ I want a large Halloween bucket…” 😂
Hahahaha. Thanks
Great job. Question; what type of ink did you use to color in the template?
The underglaze is Amaco Velvet Underglaze. AMACO Velvet Underglaze 12-Pint Class Pack a.co/d/aWCE8Sh Underglazes are REALLY EXPENSIVE right now, sadly. When I made the video they were not that expensive.
Wish it showed each piece and what they represented in the nativity more closely.
In retrospect I should have done that, you’re right.
Fabulous!
How you feel bout the the air dry terracotta clay no heat.
To make a functioning oil lamp? 🪔 Hmmm. I’m not sure how porous it would be. That’s definitely worth investigating further.
@@mountpennart Yah, im a do it.
@@snapcracklefizzle9954 How did it turn out with the terracotta clay? Was the lamp functional?
@@artinchancingI just happened to c this in my email, but, the clay I got from the thrift store (Joann fabrics, was awful. Idk if it was the red color die or what) Now I just order clay online, which was better, but still awful in my opinion. It wasn’t elastic, using it now. It’s not mallable, like at pottery’s. I recommend going to an actual place where they make pots. Cause the stuff online was poop to me
@@snapcracklefizzle9954 Thanks! That’s good to know!
Happy Hanukkah! Thank you for sharing your time and talents. The song is beautiful. I, too, hope that love, peace and safety abound.
Thank you. And happiest of Hanukkahs to you too!!❤❤❤
Can you share the clay body and thickness of slab? Nice video, thanks.
Sure thing! And thank you! The clay is Laguna ^5 B-Mix; the slab thickness was 1/4 inch
Btw what class period did you have time to do this
😉🤫
Ok that looks great
So cute!!
Thank you!!!
