Hello I am your father!
Excellent idea!
Will they see you as their queen
I don't think so
So cute
Cool
How do you find the colony from the desert?
Super COOL & CUTE!! LOL. 🎉 She is a freaking keeper, for sure!
This is super awesome! Go, kiddo! ❤ My father taught me young as well. Now, I'm teaching my youngins all of what their papa taught me. So when mommy is gearing up, they'll be like what we doing today, mom? HA! GOOD job, to both! 🎉💜
Bạn thiết kế những thùng ong khá là độc đáo tôi thích điều đó cảm ơn bạn
Feed em honey. They remember faces like crows. They will imprint if you feed them after they emerge from their cells.
chickens will eat anything you give them 🤣
Many years ago, Sears had a catalog where my younger brother bought a bee box, panels loaded with bees wax and a queen bee. He was instantly successful. We did have a lot of citrus plants in the yard. Over the years, we did see migrating swarms and hummingbirds travelling through the yard. The honey was great. So, my little brother was successful before the internet became available. He just read a little about the beekeeping process.
Did this and caught a swarm in 4 days!
Thank you, we put a 5 gallon bucket 10 ft high last week and had a swarm today!!! Yay! Thanks, totally subscribed 👍
Awesome! Thank you!
Exellent ! Bravo Mc Gyvert ! ! !🐝🐝🐝
Thanks
INGENIEUX ! ! !🐝🐝🐝
please get a snake hook and don't pull on it like that. Simply relocate when found.
Pozdrawiam serdecznie i życzę miłego dnia
I wouldn’t lay eggs either if I saw my owner wearing that Shirt…… geesh ….. magnum PI wouldn’t be caught dead
Nice snake
Dispose is the. Wrong word I pity the fools who kill snakes.
That's a beauty
I hope you lovingly relocated him It has a job to do. While your sleeping and awake!!!!!!
You can pick them up slowly and they wont bite you. Less likely to harm them.
Don’t kill ‘em
Snakes 🐍 tastes like chicken 🐔 smell like fish 🐟
Magnificent hair !
Thank you!
Your dressed like your about to steal DNA from Jurassic Park.
lol just wait and see what I turn this snake into with that DNA
At least they are compostable
Yes, find someone with a portable saw mill or wood shop and ask them for their chips. They will usually give them to you. Put them in plastic garbage cans or on a block pad in the corner of a dry building .
Great idea
I do believe those were meant to be the base layer under the straw or chips. We used old cloth as a base layer.
Well dried grass clippings work ok. The chicken can arrange them as they please. We got the best results with straw though. As for the base layer. We cut the cloth up into bits so they couldn't get tangled. Natural fiber cloth. When cleaning out the nests, we could put it directly into the compost. Double purpose.
I did originally think about using them as a base layer but figured I would just test them as is since the packaging didn't say anything about adding anything on top. Plus I have been trying to find a better alternatives to wood shavings something that is more of a one time purchase. so eventually i wont have to buy shavings anymore and save some money in the long run.
This led me to the thought "can i train a chicken?"
lol yes you actually can. I train our chickens to come to me. I haven't had much success past that.
Hay
I have been wanting to do hay for awhile. It will have to be a future test.
Thank you
You're welcome
Yup, chickens are cool
Okay! One has a whole piece and runs around the corner!
Before bringing your swarm home take it to another location for a few days before bringing it to it final destination. The ones that left probably went back to the tree where you caught them.
lol, not guys ladies.
It took me 3 years. But I actually caught a swarm. Actually two.
The bees like the light colors, I think that this thing is important too what box will they choose. And If you want to deal with bees, you need to wear protective clothing that you can buy in beekeeping shops.
I just found your channel, love your ideas.
Welcome!! thank you
When putting bees into a hive don't have lemon grass oil or any lure because it can most of the time chase them out and to much lure will have the opposite effect... just something to keep in mind
Good to know! thanks
Use your computer to learn about bees BEFORE jumping in again.
So Awesome. It's allot of bad luck but u got some good luck along the way!!
I seen u leave with it the first time I didn't see u come back with it
Oh man they left ya😢
Nice ....greetings from Germany Peter
Many thanks!
My fourth year catching swarms. The first year I used plastic bins. The bees love the space but not the smell and the heat. And then you have to transfer them. So I started building traps out of reclaimed wood, discarded drawers and scrap plywood. Inside are standard frames that will fit directly into the hive later. I make the frames from disassembled pallets! I saw the smoker you built, I loved it! I don't spend money on the bees either - frames, hives, traps - everything can be done by yourself and materials that others throw away. Don't hang the traps so high, it is scientifically correct but practically unnecessary. In those places you have caught in the past there is a high probability that you will catch in the next years.
thanks for the input. I do plan on building some more swarm traps the way you described. I also want to build some that are just the base of the hive that way when I catch a swarm I wont have to take them out just take them down from the tree and start adding boxes on top.
