1hr to change it!!! Dayum you should be a mechanic. How do you access the coolant line on the block??you can’t remove it from the turbo in place - and you can’t remove the turbo without disconnecting it. But it’s up behind the thermostat and accessories. .. Do you leave the plastic oil return nipple in the block? Idk how much I trust a $100 turbo…. My turbo was $325 off Amazon and I felt like even it was too cheap. The problem is everything looks right. But it’s all made of inferior metals.

You should open a shop!! Call it 2hr $200 turbo guaranteed!!! Screw graphing the boost to make sure it’s fixed. And make sure your actuator is set correctly is over rated. Don’t bother to check the pcv in the valve cover OR the check valve that disappears inside the intake manifold. None of that matters. One $100 bill. 1hr of work. And let’s cruise babe😎🤣

That’s crazy!!! Thanks for sharing!! That’s insane. My 1998 vw 4cyl engine has never had headgasket issues and it had 300,000 miles on it in 2009😮 Well good thing they fixed it! We had a 2025 Mercedes from enterprise turbo blow at 4,800 miles last week! They don’t make em how they used to!!! Dang twice!! How did you find out you had the problem? Did it overheat? I cringe how these engines will last when so many are goona get run hot and ignored. 😱😱😱

@fastinradfordable it showed low coolant light and my wife took it in. Don't know how many miles she drove on it maybe 5 miles or less. Second time I saw was low on coolant.

All a mechanic can do is recommend. Business is tough out there. Lot of mom and pop pressure washer and small construction guys just tryin to get by. Sure another $100 here. And there. Might as well do both in the drag link. Might as well do the ball joints. Might as well get adjustable ball joints if I’m goona be aligning it. At this point the rest of the suspension bushings are dry cracked. What are they another $19.99 sure tack a few of those on there. Ya know the shocks don’t work quite like they did new. And ya know you got diff tread depths better shave down the new tire or make you buy all new. All these are legitimate lines to be drawn. For better or worse in this day and age most people draw those lines very close to the pocketbook. Depending on the election It may get a whole lot tighter yet!!!

With large tires they can cause a lot of vibration Sometimes balancing with weights can correct that out of ballance so it rides smoother. But back in my day you wouldn’t dare to mount clip on weights to an alloy painted Finnish wheel. Cause not only does it ruin the appearance, it scratches the paint initiating corrosion. I’ve seen weights installed like this cause the bead seal to leak. I think someone put on steel tire weights on this alloy. Which is why the profile looks SO WRONG

Waiting for parts. Customer supplies the single updated oil line hoping it would fix. He’s fixing it up for his wife. I said brother, Let’s do all the lines. You don’t want your woman b!itching about some leak that’s literally impossible to deal with, without removing half the engine 🤣 And when somethings got $750 in labor alone. The customer will do better to pay that now. With a slight wait. Rather than us going through more problems later. Which WOULD happen with these ‘old coolant lines’ Looks like the oring was rolled from the factory actually. What’s a shame is these cars are doing this. When they only have 20-30,000 miles.

1- that metal is getting inside the oil in the motor and accelerates wear. 2- the car will become less powerful with higher temperatures inside because the air isn’t getting in and out as designed. 3- if ignored will eventually become sharp and cut through the lifter face and send shrapnel through the engine. Possibly causing the valve to drop and destroy the pistons and the cylinder head. Used to be billet cams were $1k or more. Now they are only like $300. Once you have a billet camshaft the lifters will still wear out every 2-300,000 miles. Frank06 can provide you with modified bearings that improve oil flow. Because at the end of the day the problem occurs due to poor oiling on an extremely high stress camshaft application.

My engine is 1ZZ-FE which is having VVT issues (P1349), have done VVT Actuator Change, VVT Filter Change, Tensioner Change, Oil Pump, VVT Cam Phaser and more but still car is underpowered and having the same issues. Upon research; I am discovering a bad or worn intake cam can cause that. But I dont know where particular on the intake cam i should investigate to know its a bad one causing this.

Oh nooo! Did you try resetting the battery? Best advice I can give is don’t hesitate to hold the dealers feet to the fire and make it right. Because buying a new car you should not have any problems for years!!

@@fastinradfordable Back to the dealer I went madder than a wet hen. Two hours of my time later they have everything back up. It needed a software update. Guess it was a good thing I wasn't on vacation and on an interstate somewhere. There was no $ charge of course.

It blew out the seals in the power steering rack for the second time in 5 years. Also leaked ps fluid from the lines and the pump They weren’t worried about the coolant at all. But I wouldn’t pass a car with a major coolant issue.

Hard to pick between this and a Camry honestly!! These Hondas were literally reiterations of the original Honda civic. Refined for decades just like the Porsche 911. Except bred for cheap reliability. The one downfall is the integrated coil in the distributor failing. Just like GM. That’s one reason I think the Camry of the same time would be a li better. No spark plug wires or distributor. But I was room mates in an apartment with a guy who had a turbo Honda civic with basically the same engine. And that thing made 300wheelHP And embarrassed a lot of cars. To this day the most wickedly quick car I’ve driven.

A lot of car dealerships hire people with zero experience to work the lube rack. I started in a quick oil change place in 2007. Yup I’ve never ever let anyone change my oil. Some don’t appreciate yes oil change is a small simple thing. But the potential damage is mind boggling. Met a guy at the dog park yesterday who didn’t know about cars. Took his Chevy to the CHevy dealership. Got oil change. Next day his transmission quits. Turns out they drained the trans but denied it. $7000 later they fixed it for him tho 😖 Insane.

They all colluding against us anymore. Buy older cars. Maintain them yourself.

I feel bad because the car just needed a cam sensor plug that broke while driving and wouldn’t seat. .. But praise the lord he is a mechanical/electrical engineer and once I showed him the pics of fluid ingress of the wiring harness. He told me he would find another car. I hope he buys our 1998 Toyota Corolla MUCH BETTER CAR!!!!!

I'm a Nissan Master mechanic. I've replaced several ignition coils on Altimas because of a weak ground like this one in the video. And the bad coils will have some blisters on them from overheating.

My guess is that when that ground finally snaps, the charge that the alternator is creating sends a surge through the electrical system that would have ordinarily been absorbed by the battery. But I'm not Matt from Schrodinger's Box, so it's just a hunch.

At least it doesn't have aa cvt in that model 😅

What maintenance do you know that makes your battery cable not break off? What maint stops the fluid from coming into the wiring harness from hydraulics. I wanna know that one!!! Personally I deleted all hydraulics from my car.

Mostly original with a brand new clutch and other fixes like bushings in the shifter It drives great!!! It’s a hoot- I almost bought it but I already have one old car.

It’s also got a brand new sub and amp. Comes with soft and hard cover Bentley Factory Manuals. The manuals alone go for $200+ for both. Just shows how well the previous owners loved it. We got it because some wealthy people barely drove it. And the throw out bearing got stuck so it made god awful clutch noises. But it got a whole new clutch assembly!!! Someone could definitely make money flipping this again for this price because it’s a very unmolested car. It’s had one respray same color that I can tell, paints pretty good and she’s straight don’t think it’s ever been hit. If you buy it we can put it up on the lift for you to inspect and road test it. When I got it fixed up I let one of our service writers take it out for lunch and he had so much fun he about bought it on the spot but his wife has health problems that take priority. … We got other cars for sale too.
