How to get an autism diagnosis as an adult
You have taken online tests, read articles, books, seen TikTok’s that make you think you could be autistic.
So what to do?
If you desire a diagnosis as an adult (18 and older) it’s important to consider why. Is it for needed resources? Validation? Insurance? Accommodations at work?
After you are sure that you in fact need one, (because it’s perfectly ok in the Neurodivergent community to self diagnosis because of the difficulties presented in getting a diagnosis) then go to your PCP, or GP doctor and ask for a referral to a facility that does comprehensive testing. Go for the best facility! You want to make sure you have the best team!
Be aware that it may cost upwards of $3500-$5k USD and have long waiting lists.
If you would like assistance with navigating this step of your journey, please reach out and let’s set up a FREE 30 minute consult to chat about where to go and what to do!

Here is a great tool to use for our neurodivergent kiddos to use for their self care/hygiene routine! Watch as I share a tool we used in our home to hack those challenges that we faced!...

Thinking about what will happen to our neurodivergent kiddos (ND meaning autistic, Intellectual Disability, Down Syndrome, etc.) when we are no longer here to take care of them. It’s a very real and sensitive topic to broach. My belief and opinion is that if we start to plan for this, it can help to alleviate SOME of the worry and fear we may have as special needs parents. It’s something that I...

Good sleep is so essential in life 😴 If we are not getting good sleep, our whole world can fall apart fast! Vetiver oil is what we use in our home for those insomniac nights. We use doTERRA or Young Living essential oils. The roller bottles are so easy to use. Rub a few swipes on the bottom of your big toes and top of the brain stem (back of neck) when sleep is evading you. Can be used every fe...
