I found the answer in another video comment section. Wow, one cube can handle so many modules! I am trying to decide between the pro and the regular cube now 🤔 and hoping I can have it expedited to me!

Yes, the DMX scripting is generic and you can set the Channel Value to control all aspects of your DMX devices.

Yes it allows you to script shells as close as about 0.3 seconds apart. So 4 seconds is no problem.

No it’s not required as far as the DMX Cube is concerned. However, sometimes the DMX devices will not pass on the signal or even introduce noise. For $32 it is worth the isolating and amplifying it does.

DMX Signal amplifier is used when there is a weakening of a DMX signal. Usually DMX signals can travel up to 300ft but sometimes when there are too many lights installed or there are interferences the DMX Signal is weakened.. or has feedback due to not being properly terminated. It's called ring back.

At the last driver, the cable has to be terminated with a 120Ω resistor to prevent reflections which can disturb the DMX signal and cause lighting malfunctions. Any properly installed DMX network requires only a single 120Ω resistor at the end of the line of daisy-chained luminaires, connected

You should be fine using the Crackle Cube with a DC24A. Make sure you have the latest firmware (3.0.1). Reach out to me directly steve@cracklecube.com.

Setting the laptop at the native resolution was way too small to show on video. Maybe next video I will up the font size. Either way, the scripting software works on any resolution.

The support was added last year to Crackle Show Creator for selecting which module type you want to use. In this case the Bilusocn DC24A was added as part of that. In the next release of Crackle Show Creator (3.0), there will be support for even more firing modules.

The recommendation would be somewhere between 0.25-0.33 seconds between cues as the Cube has a limit of how fast it can send out back-to-back RF signals. To work around this, usually you would use mirroring (setting modules programming to the same RF signal), module's Rapid Fire (around 0.25 rate), and/or the module's Fire All. The 24-cue modules do offer customized rapid fire (0.1 - 1.0).

Oh ok good to know. Are you able to set a sequence fire section up within a show say to fire a round of shells every 2.2 seconds and it automatically add the 2.2 sec delay into the script as you add shells? Or do they all have to be manually added?

@@bluegrasspyro6573 If I'm understanding it correctly, you could set the Delay to zero, and the Duration of the shell in your Stash as having a duration of 2.2 sec. This way as you add the shell from your Stash into your show, you can have it add to the end of the last Cue. That would be a single click per shell to get them added.

Essentially there is no limit on how many modules can have the same mirroring. Since it's an RF signal, any module waiting for that signal will get triggered. And you can have 1200+ unique cue settings, so there is plenty of capability.

Hey, not sure I totally understand your request, but importing in a video file would be limited to just grabbing the audio portion. For now audio editing is outside of the software. FWSIM has exporting for firing systems in Pro. That file format importing would be something I would like to add. Cool that you saw Bear Den’s video. DMX Cube was soft launched before this past 4th. Need to tweak some things before official launch. Just saw you joined the FB group! Look through the history to see more. 😊

@@cracklecube2327 I was just hoping that you might add functionality to a video (such as something created in fwswim) and import it into the timeline like the mp3 (instead would be mp4, avi, etc) and have the video play along the timeline with your elements so it is easier to sync up the cues with the music, basicly the same thing you do with the mp3 file , you would get a visual representation of what your show is going to look like.

Hi Lee, yes you can import in your stash or just add a stash item manually. Right now if you want to import, I suggest exporting an empty stash file so you have the right format for your stash file. Crackle Show Creator is free to use and doesn’t require a Cube, so feel free to try it out.

Yes. It sets up its own WiFi network. You only have to make sure your show was synchronized from the cloud to your phone or laptop, when you have internet. Which happens automatically.

Hey Jordan, not yet, but more people are asking about the Happiness DB24R so I’ll get it working. The Cube works with other Happiness modules, but just like the Bilusocn DC24A it will need specific support added to all of the Crackle Cube software.

The Crackle Cube is the WiFi access point. So you can be in a field or on beach for example, and connect up.

Yes. You can fire from any cue module in any order you would like. However, if you are wanting to fire things off simultaneously you'll want to using mirroring, where you set multiple modules to the same area and cue number range. I have a video on mirroring in my channel.

@@darcytaylor8134 No, because the Cube can only send out one RF signal at a time. You can get away with around 0.10 seconds gap between cues, but you really should use mirroring. You can program multiple modules to be the same Area and Cue Number range. A single RF signal will trigger multiple modules. Mirroring lets you fire from say left, right, and center positions at the same time. The Cube also allows the use of Fire All and Rapid Fire abilities of the modules.

One more question, sorry. Does the firework database include canadian products?

Sorry in a rush to get out a small update I ended up releasing a pre-lease version of CSC. I'll be correcting that soon. On the FB group I showed the DMX Cube, but it's not officially available. Hi Mike, They worked pretty well! The feedback I've gotten from others was that they needed to be taller. I'll be looking into updates in the design.

You can time cues to be the same time. The Cube will fire the RF signals back-to-back as quickly as possible, but you'll still probably have about 0.3-0.4 seconds in-between in order to make sure the RF signal has enough time. The most important thing to keep in mind is that the cue modules may not give the first cue enough time to trigger the ignitor. My suggestion is that if you want 2 fireworks to go off at the same time you either: 1. Mirror the same Area and Cue on 2 modules. or 2. Have the closely timed fireworks be on 2 separate cue modules.

You specify in your Show script what Area and Cue number you want to use for a firework, and the Cube know what signal to send out. Same thing with manually firing. You select and Area and press the Cue button (1-12) to fire it. If you need to program the cue modules to a specific Area and Cue number, you just use the manual firing interface. Just like you would if you had one of the control boxes that normally comes with the firing system.

You can connect up to the Crackle Cube using 2 devices. One would run the Show, the other could be used to ignite other stuff manually. The reason you can't do it from a single device is because you should be ready to pause a Show if something goes wrong.

@@cracklecube2327 or you could just keep some que modules linked to the original button remote to fire in the back ground. Best keep the big stuff manually fired for me at least.

CptKirk FPV I think it's a personal choice if and how you would want to fire stuff off manually. The key is that the Cube has a way to do it without the need for button remote. 😊
