A traditional Irish reel, though likely not quite 100 years-old, with recordings dating back to first quarter of the last century. According to the Session, this little tune has many names; you might know it as one of these: Gearrchaile Shligigh, The Glendoan Fancy, The Maid From Sligo, O’Donnell’s Sligo Maid, The Sligo Maid Lament, and The Sligo Maid’s Lament

A traditional Irish reel noted in O'Neill's Music of Ireland (c. 1850) as named in honor of Julia Delaney, Capt. O'Neill's sister-in-law. According to the Session site though, this tune goes by many names, including La Sorciere and Millar's Highland Fling.
