Jousting Horse With Advanced White Line Disease
In today's video, we are treating a pretty exceptional jousting horse by the name of Hercules! This poor draft cross is suffering from white line disease in his right front and back feet. His front right is of extreme concern, as we go over his current and future treatment plan.

Hoof reconstruction using two completely different methods.
Why why why wouldn't you medicate before filling that?
Nice!
Are you a qualified farrier?
So what happened? How did he turn out. It’s been 10 months.
What is the mesh tape?
love this
What kind of environment are y’all in?
Also do you need to remove the excess cast material between the hood and shoe? Or does it add support and strength?
Should show the frog/bulb removal part of the cast
I agree. I would be interested in seeing that process.
Where did you buy your laser what brand is it??
The hotse owner must be piece of work to let tjis horse get that bad and leep working him! Just saying
White line is hard to treat as a rule because of its location. It's also difficult to diagnose the severity for the same reason. As the Farrier stated in the beginning of the video the horse never presented as lame at any point, even with the foot in that shape the horse was sound enough to stand for shoeing the other front foot.
Good idea with the level. I know a few horse shoers that need to use one!
Did you treat with anything?
🙏💙💙🙏💙🙏💙🙏💙
Amazing what you have done for this sweet horse❣️
Try go dry it's for cows but works on foot infection
Amazing farrier.
Good video thanks. It’s hard to find a good farrier that cares enough to go to this much trouble. I’d be very happy with this work done.
Thank u so much I learn alot I'm beginner on cutting hoof
I hope you're on a training course?
Will the hoof ever be normal?
yup, because the hoof grows from top down, so eventually, the nail will fully grow out.
Try the boots.
Owner should have used thrush on the hooves.
Thrush is anaerobic bacteria infecting the hoof of the horse. Why would the owner add thrush to the problem the horse already has?
Good job.
You are so interesting-I’m not a horse person at all however you make what you are doing very clear. Thank you. Central Victoria Australia 🇦🇺
The Ferrier did a fantastic job-it looked very complicated. The horse was great as well! Can’t wait to see the ongoing videos 😊 Central Victoria Australia 🇦🇺
I really enjoy watching you work, while hearing why you do each step. I’ve been in horses getting close to 60 years now.
So refreshing to hear your discussion, regarding each step of your work, instead of trying to hide your incompetence by quick seedy work.
This video has been the best I’ve found explaining the use of the square toe and trailer. You did a great job illustrating your point. For that , I thank you.
Bravo Maestro ottima spiegazione complimenti dall Italia
Too much talk, little work.
Horse is going to be dead by time you work on it
Taking a horse to very rocky ground. Instead of leather pads what would you recommend? Thanks for your video's.
you talk to much
keep making great videos
Shocked, you are not using some kind of resin to fill it in, but just glue. Is this glue some kind of resin ? Because, it dries hard like it, and doesn't dry like glue.
You are a talented teacher and communicator... I really enjoy all of your videos and content, best of luck with your channel!
Keep on doing what you do and documenting it via video. Horsey people love learning more about their horses.
As an older retired craftsman there's nothing I appreciate more than watching another professional ply their trade. Awesome work friend and educational too. Ty
Would love to see a follow up on this in a few months time.
Sweet
Looks good.
