Was it just our family?? But my Mum always bought a Twin Tub washing machine right up until around the 2000s and my Gran always used to hand wash clothes and use only a spinner/rinse machine for the rest of her life, with one of her daughters washing the larger items in their automatic?? I think my Mum had a tumble dryer once longer before she ever bought an automatic. 🤔

I can't help but think though, Emma could've been one of the turns performing at the end of year verity show for the teachers and parents of students attending 'Grange Hill'.
