I don't think she gets the flowers she deserves from the queer community. Thanks to her and her AMFAR, we have prep today and HIV is no longer a death sentence. No telling how many lives she has saved, and continues to save long after her passing. RIP Angel

36,000 people got HIV last year and most didn't know. Obviously this laws are needed. There are on the record cases of STDs passing with medication including HIV. A person who will lose years of there life if getting HIV shouldn't rely on if the other party remembered to take their medication.

Thank you Andy for joining us in the fight to end HIV Criminalization. I was arrested and faced 15 years when someone lied saying I spit on them, they actually assaulted me. In Tennessee my saliva is considered a deadly weapon bc I’m HIV+. I am blessed that Abby Rubenfeld took my case probono and secured video showing the incidence. It showed that I was the one assaulted, that I never spit on anyone, seven months after my arrest she got the charges dismissed and expunged. I was blessed that Abby took my case, most people arrested on these type charges don’t have the luxury of the best Attorney fighting for them. Since my arrest I’ve fought tirelessly to change the laws in Tennessee. When I read that you, Andy Cohen was joining the fight against HIV Criminalization I felt a wave of tears coming over me.
