It is even the case that Disneyland came to look at the Efteling to get ideas
It's a fun park but it isn't better than disney
You've been visiting during low season or right at opening hours. Because 5 minutes isn't the standard. It's more like 40 minutes.

I live in USA so I love Disney world and Disneyland

In my opinion Efteling does everything slightly better than Disney, but Disney is amazing though!

The efteling is build in 1952, and based on the brothers Grimm. Disney is build in 1955 😇
It’s not lol. Efteling opened in 1933 (Sports park) or the start of the theme park: 1952, with the addition of the fairytale forest.
Not cheap, not a knock off. Just great fun, great theming and not as overpriced as Disney.

When I went to lapland 12 years ago it was £2000 for 4 now it is 3 times that at least and I'd love to go back but it's too expensive, definitely the best holiday I've had

I had my baby boy at 15yrs old, He’s coming up 18 in June and I’m only 34! Now we can travel together! We are starting our first trip in December time for Amsterdam/Gouda to go to the Christmas markets. Can you see if you can find a great deal for us please? Thank you xx

I also looks at this Budget Ibis Hotel... but I found that on the next street there are a bunch of airB&B's for a tad bit cheaper but come with kitchens.

Driving to Belgium was so much easier than we thought it would be! ⛴️ We got the ferry across to Calais from Dover (We live 4 hours from Dover but it would be even easier if you live in the south!) Dunkirk is another option and is a little bit closer. 🎄We spent a night in Calais and explored the Christmas market and city - you can bypass this one if you’re short on time. 🚗 From Calais we were just a 1 hour 25 minute drive to the beautiful Bruges in Belgium! 🎄🧇 Find a cheap hotel for a night or two and stuff your face with waffles, big sausages and mulled wine 🍷 🤩
We absolutely loved this park, have you been?! Would you go?! We drove from the UK and combined the trip with exploring Amsterdam 😍
I go there every so often, it's by far me fav! Never been to disneyland, went to efteling at least 10 times (I'm from belguim :3)

We have Disneyland on our website - you can search for it as a specific destination. It will find good hotel options but once on the hotel booking site you can find the one you like if it isn’t there x
My wife and I travelled inter rail 45 years ago for £145 each for a month . Used european timetable book . I was strong and very fit took a tent . But found it cheaper and more interesting to book into a place on arrival . We managed to reach many of the Greek islands and went from Greece to corfu then onto brindsi Italy and travelled back that way. We would stop for day in a place if we didn’t like it and stay longer week if we liked it. No app was used and planned whilst I travelled .
Driving could be a cheap way to get there, especially if you live in the south of England and are a bigger family. Always check prices for both, and take the TGV price into consideration when looking at flight prices 🚆✈️
