i remember when this happened so i was with my mom at her friends house. my mom stayed at her friends house when she comes to visit me. we stayed the night there. 5:27 am:a tornado warning was issued.the first wave was starting.took about 2 hours to finish.the second wave came and it was even harder than the first one.the marina was already destroyed during hurricane michal,but it is now destroyed again.the house on thomas drive was tipped over.luckily im still here and im very blessed to be breathing right now,hope we recover soon

Michael was probably one of the worst storms I've seen out of the 21st century. The way it just embedded those pieces of wood in the walls like it was nothing and ripped homes to shreds, it's just mind-blowing! This is worse than anything I've ever seen firsthand and I've lived in Florida my whole life. The closest storms this millenium that I can think of to hit the US are Hurricane Ian on Fort Myers Beach FL, Hurricane Charley in Punta Gorda FL, Hurricane Maria in Yabucoa/Humacao PR vicinity, and Hurricane Katrina in the areas that had a 20-30ft storm surge. Besides those I don't think anything else compares.

That is definitely a tornado and a huge one. I live in Panama City and have been told we don't get violent tornadoes here. Well I guess that proves them very wrong. Great video!

WOW!!! Is all I can say. Well that and great job Man. That was awesome footage.

Thank you thank you for being out there and getting this footage. I just found it, now days later. And can't help but cry hearing that roar again. I live in upper grand lagoon. Although we sustained no damage compared to lower grand lagoon, I can say I have no idea how. We woke up some how knowing our lives were in danger. We ran to the far corner of our double wide trailer and got down and began to pray very loudly. We didn't even have time to look at any radar to know where it was coming from. We just knew from the sound and the roar that could be felt in the floor that this was life threatening.

I love people in Panama City, Bay County in general all nice and gives me old family oriented vibes that I haven't felt in Bethesda MD here. People are cold and unwelcome and very self centered into their own world😢

I am a trained storm spotter and took a direct hit by the tornado. Reed Timmer doesn't have anything on me lol. Praying for those impacted.

Yeah that’s me and my wife’s vehicles at the end of the video. The tree with all the insulation? My wife called it our Christmas tree. The neighbor lady was actually sleeping in that upper apartment when it blew off. That guy you interviewed? He helped get her out. Real nice people.
