Imagine taking a GM Iron Duke 4 cylinder casting and punching it out to 1 inch 25mm thick casting and webbing...then cast in super HQ alloy. Youd have 6.0 L 4cylinder iron duke. Make it compatible to use GM LS - SIX bolt cylinder heads , and 4 bolt mains crankshaft bearing caps.<<< VERY important! GM LS V8 compatibility will ensure sales!...Offroad enthusiasts will pay $$$ like its worth gold for a STRONG quality Aluminum alloy BIG BLOCK sized 4 cylinder Iron Duke Block. It would sell, it would become a niche engine and generate a huge tremendous following...Then LATER make a Ford Coyote compatible version , but ONLY after the Iron Duke is successful.. Best wishes. What kind of software or program do you use to print/make the different mold pieces? I'd imagine a solid core would have to be 3d rendered on the computer, placed in a figuritive box and the resulting Negative(open space around block, inside the box) is the result of these panel pieces... Is this correct?

The whole process of V6 engine block casting factory production and manufacturing

Would like to know the tonnage of the lock up on that thing and the diameter of the tie bars. 1000 ton machines have 10-12 inch diameter tie bars and produce parts that weigh 5 pounds maximum. That machine there is a beast producing engine blocks. Wow.

Different rates of thermal expansion, air gaps and impurities, cold spots, warpage, differences in alloy causing poor bonding. All of these bonding issues causing stress and cracks. Incredibly imprecise has to be machined after anyway and still won’t fix the misplacement only the size and concentricity. Limited options on differences in material due to above mentioned issues which means no meaningful benefits. Just fucking cast it as one piece or press the liners in none of this bs.

Does this engine need to coat the cylinders with ballistic coating? Or does it not need it, since the cylinders were put in it before casting?
