When u unplugged the line thats the issue im dealing with on how mine runs... i saw you say the coolant temp sensor was your issue, i replaced that but still runs like that...maybe i should try the egr solenoid
run a vacuum test on egg then check for vacuum leak
You want it to run correct.... remove that throttle body vrap and install a carburetor and intake and s regular HEI distributor and s fuel pressure regulator and all your problems will be solved i guarantee you that and it will have so much more power

Any issues with install on the hedman i been seing clearance issues in other videos just concerned befor i order for my 90 5.7 tbi
Keep it simple.....emissions won't make it die.....shes loosing fuel pressure some how, filter....line clogged.....filter in tank clogged...

Disconnect the computer and see if the truck dies. These trucks will run without the computer plugged in.If it runs better start there.
You can fix it by getting rid of that old injection system and put a carburetor on it. It’ll last forever.

I took my points distributor off and put an HEI distributor on that allowed me to get rid of so much BS
Hopefully you can give me some insight. I worked on one today, idle surge. Egr line was gone from the solenoid, and the two other lines from the solenoid were gone (could be just the 1, one is a really skinny port with small hole. Assumed it was a line) Solenoid was still plugged in. Im just now getting to some research, and wondering if the solenoid being plugged in, and no vac lines connected is causing it to buck and die.
Mine doing this same shit,I done put so many new components on.. EGR valve Map air sensor Alternator ECM module Distributor cap Rotary button Module under distributor cap Throttle body sensor Rebuilt TBI Air filter It went from hesitation to running then dying out like yours... I'm at my breaking point.
Unplug the thing after the egr valve and replace the oxygen sencer or try cleaning it and unplug the throttle position sensor and start it and see if it works then it worked for mine and if it dose replace the throttle position sensor and check if the fule injectors in the throttle body are spraying a clean jet and there is a metal flap in the air box above the heater house wedge a pice of ten foil in there to hold it open I did all this and my truck screams down the road again I hope it works for you

All I have to say to all that own one of these lovely K5 Blazers from GM is if you throw parts at it make sure to use either GM oem parts or AC DELCO oem parts. I cant believe how rugged and finicky these engines are are if you use off brands to repair.. I went through many headaches with returning parts from ebay and others that offer off brands. More expensive but they work.peroid
