Nancy and I go to a reservoir a couple hours from our home to fish the evening/night for burbot. It is an invasive fish on this side of Wyoming so there is a mandatory kill on burbot caught. We love catching and eating them so I will show you how we do it.
We caught fish on jigged rods (show my set up), on tip ups with the same rig, and on stationary rods with a glow Northland buckshot jig....that was just hanging lol. One thing I did find interesting on this trip was that we did not catch any burbot on the rods that had sucker meat strips on them. We caught burbot on every set up we had with frozen minnows or even the frozen minnow heads.
