Just looked at the challenging comment. Don't think that person had watched the video properly. It can be frustrating to hear you mention holidays when you have debt. But that is because the stress the debt seems to be causing you is enormous. I would love for you to have the opportunity and self permission to say no to somethings for a short time so you can say yes without worrying. If you need to wallow that's fine. There's a great book called SUMO (Shut Up Move On) it has a concept called Hippo Time. You use that time to wallow. Totally understand the desire to go to India for your God Mother and desire to support her this year. But after that could you have a chat with your dearly beloved to reduce your outgoings so that you both can live life to the full. There's a lot of freedom in being debt free.

Am I right in thinking you are needing to go into your overdraft less? Noticed the lower overdraft fee :-)

Don't pay just the minimum. Pay at least half what you were paying to the other debts.

I wonder if you intended to title it January 2025? Very clever method for budgeting- nothing like having the paper money to help the spending and saving feel quite concrete, rather than an abstract financial idea. :)

Constructive idea. Have you thought of treating an extra payment to your credit card as an extra 'bill'? If you can afford £50 each month (without fail) that would be an extra £600 a year on top of your minimum payment. You very successfully managed to pay off a lot of your debt last year when the total of all your payments were more than your one outstanding payment now. x

You are doing great, just keep chipping away at your debt and you will get there. Life is too short not to make memories and you deserve to enjoy life or what is the point. Go on your holidays, date night etc. Cheering you on and wishing you well, you've got this.👏

How can someone blame the system for their own mistake. The only person who has built up the credit card is you! Only a person with no sense buys on credit. You say you work hard, so pay extra every month. It’s not that hard! And to take holiday money off others is not something to be proud of

If the interest rate is high Lisa, could a balance transfer or fixed term loan help you pay it down faster? Also, perhaps income increase (eg vinted sales, overtime etc). I don’t think you have to explain why you need your holidays. That’s a completely valid priority for you. Wishing you all the best ❤️

Are you able to transfer to a zero interest credit card? Or at least a card with a lower interest rate?

Can i make a polite suggestion... instead of waiting for plum to round up to £100... pay whatever you have as soon as you have it to get the interest down. Even if its only £1 a week... dont give these cards anymore of your money in form of interest ❤

I know you are disappointed but these reflections are very valuable in adjusting the goal because life happens in between and it’s always unpredictable. It’s also worth looking at all the money you have also paid off which is massive achievement through discipline. And that same discipline will get you to the next stage as well. 🦋

Hi Dramatic Budgets, I think you could easily pay off more than 3000£ (on top off your minimal payment) in debt this year! Don't give up!😇 🤑💸Maybe it would help you to draw up an annual budget or revisit it: Income: 25200£ House and more: 12000£ (estimate very generous 😋) Food: 2600£ (50£ a week for 52 weeks) Fuel: 2080£ ( 40£ a week) Spending: 1040£ (20 £ every week) Misc: 200£ Remaining amount: 7280£ - than 1000£ ( high priority - car, boiler, em - you have there already some money ❤) 1000£ low prio (beauty, home stuff, shows, other), and 2000£ for holiday ( vacation with partner, india with godmother) - overall minus 4000£. Leaves 3280£ going to debt! Or 275£ a month!🧐 Increase your categories to fit the 52 week - so you dont run in your 5 week month problem. 😵‍💫 You can do it!😜

We didn't have one last year and I've felt drained all year! Make those memories ❤ Google said you should declare your TH-cam earnings to HMRC but double check if there is a threshold like there is for ebay and etsy. You so right we just focus sometimes in paying the debt we forget to live, and memories as so important also others like our family and partners should be penalised either. Go for the trip and enjoy and I do believe you will pay the debt way before the deadline 😊 you got this ❤

Haven't watched whole video yet but I'd definitely change your monthly payment on your credit card to a round figure above the current minimum and that way the minimum payment never goes down & you pay it off quicker while knowing exactly how much you're paying each month. Eg if it's £234 make it £250 (as much as you know you can pay). That plus the extras should get it done sooner. Worked for me.
