Yes we need to discern and be in the word and then unite based on the word of God and be about the Fathers business. That’s the key. Sometimes we spend so much time bashing each other that nothing gets done. And the world sees us as divided and not United. And yes agreed we need to be focused on His Word 100%. well, let's ask a couple of clarifying questions here. God wants His church to be unified. But, in what way? Are you saying that the church should be unified in Gay marriage? Are you saying that God wants His church to pray to other gods before Him? Is all of that ok with God? No, it's not. There are several examples in the new testament where churches were not unified in Christ. Paul spoke about this openly. Thing is, when Church is upheld by man, then the church will fall short of the glory of God. It is up to Us as people to study the word of God to show ourselves approved in His site. And at that point we can discern what is truth in Gods site. We cannot just give a blank check to someone or some church just because "they believe in God and Jesus Christ. Acts 19:15 says this clearly, "And the evil spirit answered and said to them, “I recognize Jesus, and I know about Paul, but who are you?” You see, many people and churches by todays standards claim to know Christ. Well as we can see, even demons know Christ. So, the claim that we know and follow Christs; teachings is not good enough. We as Christians need to use Gods word and discern with prayer and fasting the truth of Gods word.
