This is bad advise. In this scenario is much better to be renting and not have 100s of thousands of dollars locked up in your home. Plus the stress and work it takes to find decent renters, fix broken stuff is just not worth it. If you want to travel the world, you’re 100% better off renting and leaving after your lease ends

You want a 24/7 access location, and mention, off handedly that you work late into the night. Have a locking filing cabinet and stash your bed roll and air mattress within. Want to keep the space spartan and professional vibes, and usually always be out before anyone else in the building shows up. Sometimes have polite, easy going conversation with neighbors, but never indulge them in your situation. Good luck!
