Hi how much for ship it to Nz?
Mate honestly it too much. Best to hit up a local shop. Sorry
You gave very good information Always be happy 🌹🌹🌹
Hi ! Thank you for sharing Could you please advise, Any recomended brand for big face ?
The best fins are custom made fins. Need different weights and tensile carbon layers and directions inside. Most of them are just 0-90° stepped layups including DiveR, penetrator and most cheaper blades.
I shot a riffe 110 and 130... i have the Hatch in my sites
KAP is great also
@@westsidedivetackle3894 they look nice... bigger than a riffe but smaller than a koah. Nice median

Weird question warning! I want to easily add weight to a guitar strap while I'm seated and then remove the weight when I play while standing. Here are my questions: 1. What is the widest opening on lace through style diving weights? I saw some coated weights online, and they listed the openings at 1.92 inches wide. The most narrow guitar straps are usually about two inches wide. 2. Is there any room in the openings for a reasonably thin, two inch wide cloth strap to curl up on the edges and still fit through the openings in the weight? I want to slip a diving weight over a guitar strap at the bottom end of my bass guitar to pull it down and pitch the neck upward, so that I don't have to support any of the neck weight with my fretting hand. You have to admit, it is kind of funny that I'm asking a diving professional about diving weights in order to solve a problem which guitarists call "neck dive". 😂
Yeah most of these dive belts are max 2 inches. The coated dive leads slide on and off fairly easy although it as easy as uncoated. Hope that helps
@westsidedivetackle3894 Thanks! It's worth a try. If worse comes to worst, I'll just get some sturdy cloth and sew a bag around it, and then I'll sew a wide loop onto the bag. As a lifelong technician, I will never understand some of the crap that design and engineering teams produce. Product Development: "What's the word from our market testing?" Marketing: "Well, most of our test subjects really liked the sound of our newest guitar line, but they complained that if they let go of the necks for a split second, the headstocks will immediately dive straight into the floor. These new models are horribly unbalanced, Sir." Product Development: "Great! So, how soon will we start manufacturing and shipping them?"
Great job! I am planning to go Hawaiian slinging today for the first time and just wanted to know how to do it! I’ll let you know how it goes!

Best content bro. Following form Morocco. Please keep it this way 🎉
Good morning Chris! Do you have and experience with the Mako Pure Carbons?
No sorry mate we don’t sell that brand as they sell only directly to customers. We’ve seen and dealt with lots of carbon blades over the year though. Do you have a question about them?
@@westsidedivetackle3894 I’m just in the beginning stages of researching. Trying to decide between fiberglass or lower end carbons. I’ll be using almost exclusively for spearfishing.
@@iFlub. got it. Biggest difference is the material. Fiberglass is typically way more durable than CF. We sell mostly FG blades to folks who are beginning or wanting to upgrade from plastics. It can be a cost thing as well. FG blades are more responsive (translate water down the blade) than plastics but not better than CF blades in that respect. CF blades are a lot lighter than FG therefore you use less energy through your swim cycle. CF are typically more expensive and are less durable (say for reef diving). Hope this helps
@@westsidedivetackle3894 thanks Chris! Diving less than 100 ft for the most part. I’ve tried out some fiberglass before and loved them (don’t remember the brand). Didn’t know if it would be worth the upgrade to cheaper carbons for marginally more. Looking to spend up to about $350 for blades and foot pockets.
@@iFlub. in this case you might want to save up a little more and get a great pair of CF blades. Cetma, Alchemy or Meandros CF are what we sell a lot of. The difference of a $100 more for a great CF is immense! If you cannot save and really want the CF blades just determine the type of diving you a few going to be doing mostly. Again CF blades can get damaged on rocks and reef. Maybe also look at a mix of CF/FG if your dive area is rough on the fins 🤙
Personally, I like to have mine somewhere (depending on your gear setup)on or about my chest area. That way, no matter what, you can reach your knife with EITHER hand. If you’ve got your knife on your arm, leg, or on your side, and for whatever reason the arm/hand you need to access your knife can’t be used, you’re f&(:@d!
I like that! Send a pic if possible of your set up
very useful video.. thanks a lot

One problem with speargun designed reels is that the drag is to weak. My Dad and myself use Penn trolling reels with 50 mts of stainless cable. If you shoot a cave dweller, drag to the max, for others drag off and apply as needed. Weight is no problem, just take off 1 or 2 lead from belt
Hi there: im debating getting a pathos lazer carbon roller 100cm vs a rob allen gt timberline roller in a 100cm, the rob allen cost around 46% more ordering ro my area. Ive tried spearfishing once in the caribbean shallow reefs with deep open areas with a cressi apache 45cm which was a terrible option but i made the best of it and managed to get some fish. This is my dilema: is the rob allen essentially 46% better than the pathos? Pros and cons of each? Thanks so much for any advice you are able to provide.
Too many variables to cover sorry BUT a you are looking at a carbon gun bs a wood gun. That’s apples and oranges. 1st thing is to figure out your budget. Next ask yourself if you really want a roller gun as they are more complicated to deal with. Personally if I’m getting a wood gun then it has to be ALL wood and not with a muzzle and handle added. TBH Pathos Sniper spearguns are my go to. Check them out
@@westsidedivetackle3894 ive decided on roller bc of the low recoil. Both of the above metioned are carbon ( the allen is a carbon barrel enclosed in woood). The allen has ceramic beatings vs pathos plastic ( i think).
@@jonnydcan9482 again lots of variables. If you can get to a shop and get some expertise try. RA roller muzzle is better than Pathos I agree. Pathos handle and trigger are better than the RA imo. The Sniper had very low recoil for a non roller gun and is almost as accurate imo. Same ballast design as the RA roller. In fact lots of companies have copied the ballast balance design started by Pathos. Again personally I don’t like guns that are wooden with muzzle and handle added. Why not simply get a custom all wood roller gun from a great wood gun maker for around the same cost? Good luck mate
Ok thanks so much for the great input…i think ill be getting the pathos, i do have a custom gun in the making out of Hawaii as im in Canada and there isnt anywhere that sells spearguns outhere where im. I come from a hunting background and i would prefer carbon over wood just bc maintenance and durability. Thanks again man
Is that alaihi

Hello there, I'm new to spearfishing and am trying it for the first time in Hawaii. Do size limits apply the same as regular fishing? If so, how do you remember for all those fish? Specifically all the goatfish species since they all look so similar...
This is where it’s best to network with folks who dive already. Hawaii has poor laws regarding taking fish. I generally tell folks of the fish is smaller than your hand then leave it BUT there are a lot of species that are “pan fry” smaller fish.
@@westsidedivetackle3894 so size limits still apply? How often are you stopped by the DNR? I'm not looking to break any laws purposefully but it seems hard to with all the size stuff... do you need a fishing license?
@@wyattross5544 some fish have seasons and limits and each island is different. Sorry this takes a while to figure out. We set up a Facebook page call Hawaii Spearfishing and Freediving. Just hop on thee and ask around for dive buddies. There are plenty will help. Fish ID and stuff takes the longest to figure out
