Thanks for this in depth look. I’m just trying to get not the playing aspect of the game after collecting some cards for a while now. I have a sealed kickstarter box that I’m not sure if I will ever open and have just bought a first edition booster box, which I will likely keep sealed also. But I did buy two booster packs off eBay and they look great, I also have 4 more boosters on the way to open separately. Thanks again.

do you remember how much tix it was for 1 booster?

I'm also in a FaB dead zone and would love an official client. It should be easy enough to limit it in a way where in-person is still the primary method to play. Maybe only support Blitz, or make it similar to the fan-made solutions where you can use any card/deck with no ladder climbing.

I agree with the potential for more flavor from what I've seen about this game. The potential for a bit of emergent story telling just adds to the immersion of the player. Hopefully the Devs will be successful enough to add more in thr future.

I believe that TCG's are inherently uncompetitive due to their availability issues.

Arawn the spiked dragon is one of my faves, probably sacrifice comes in next. Both can be seen in the pack art for first edition boosters 🎉

Damn, Clarify has only 783 prints and the Alpha Aster ext. art is 1000..... damn good cards. The quality of these cards is very good.

I like Alpha Clash, its got something new and the first set sold out at distribution level in 2 weeks og now set number 2 is coming in november.

Really enjoy your video gives a great aspect to the game and really enjoy how you go through each individual card and separating commons/uncommons to rares.

UPDATE!: I have spoken with the developer and it IS possible to draft packs of Mythrel. I had wrongly assumed that the maximum deck size was 40. Deck size is 25-40 cards total 😉

My favorite card is Velereth! I don't let my opponent keep any cards on their board.

I love the setup of Mythrel. They are not trying to overpower everything out of the gate. That will help with power creep and the online client dev cycles. Plus they are keeping it easy to learn for the first set. Other games can be a bear to learn and for a TCG people want to get in and play quick. Mythrel does all that and more.

Yeah, blitz decks are good. Good for new beginners to get run over in armory.

After looking at this explanation, I wonder.. why would anyone even bother to re-invent Magic the Gathering? What is the appeal? And more importantly.. how can they expect the game to thrive when it has no brand recognition, creativity or anything appealing?

After playing this, I have a few comments about the card's visual design: 1) Why do spells have an attack/defence? Can that matter? 2) Why is the flavour text above the rules text? 3) The rules text is only slightly more bold than the flavour text, so it muddles together sometimes. For the digital version specifically: 1) Why can't I hover over a creature to read its rules text? 2) Why is playing a card so finnicky?

Recommend swing bigs, I tried 2x nourishing emptiness at my local armory and ended up doubling the damage on turn 1 with the dominate and extra draw 😂😂😂. Looking forward to the new dusk till dawn brute headpiece
