NSW Lake Illawarra North - by drone
I know I've done this place before but that was ages ago. I know what I'm doing now ... I hope. And I know the music doesn't fit the mood but it was the right length and I'm not composing at the moment. Anyway ....
The northern side of Lake Illawarra is a beautiful location and offers a few little islands, pathways, picnic grounds, BBQs, exercise equipment, kids' play equipment, a skate board bowl, wharf (where you pretend to catch fish) and some tables and chairs. Upon one of which I launched my drone and did the fly around. Enjoy ... or not.

Mt Kembla: Coal Loader to Cordeaux Dam - drone view
มุมมอง 369 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
The Old Coal Loader, near Robertson Lookout on the Illawarra Escarpment, was the top of an underground conveyor belt where coal was loaded from the trucks and taken down for export. The building that remains is little more than a large shed now. After flying through the building, I went straight up and caught the amazing local scenery: Mt Kembla and Mt Keira, the plateau west of the Escarpment,...

Beautiful Copperfield Gorge, Central Northern Queensland
มุมมอง 29วันที่ผ่านมา
This beautiful gorge, tucked behind the very small town of Einasleigh, is freely accessible, swim-able and gorgeous. It even has its own fresh water crocodile. Look out for the hawk, it's there. I think the drone was nervous. It shouldn't be, it's survived worse.
Undara Camping ground fly over, North Queensland
มุมมอง 92วันที่ผ่านมา
Here is a fly over of the camping ground (resort) in Undara Volcanic National Park. The large structure is the bar / restaurant, a covered yet open space. I also pop over to the Undara Lake and the historic Miners Hut. I wasn't allowed to fly in the Lava Tubes.
Undara Lake, North Queensland, with Kangaroos
มุมมอง 55วันที่ผ่านมา
Near Undara Caravan Park (in Undara Volcanic National Park) is this peaceful lake. I flew up and down to capture its sublime mood. I caught the notice of some kangaroos and a couple of birds on the way.
Kalkani Crater, Undara National Park, North Queensland
มุมมอง 8914 วันที่ผ่านมา
As part of exploring Undara Volcanic National Park (west of Cairns), we checked out Kalkani Crater. After climbing up the side and walking around the lip, we launched the drone to get a better look. Kalkani Crater is the remnant of a volcano that looks like an impact crater. There are a few in this once volcanic area. The main feature of Undara National Park are the lava tubes.

Beautiful Lake Morris by drone, Cairns QLD
มุมมอง 70หลายเดือนก่อน
Lake Morris (Copperlode Dam) is in the tablelands west of Cairns, Queensland. The road to Lake Morris is closed due to many landslides, so we walked up the steep track from Crystal Cascades. Lake Morris is very peaceful and beautiful but is best appreciated from above. The spillway was flowing so I flew over the top before taking in the lake as a whole.

QLD Shipwreck at Yarrabah, Cairns - by drone
มุมมอง 77หลายเดือนก่อน
The township of Yarrabah includes a shipwreck just off the beach. To get a good look you need a drone. After chatting with a local family we flew off to get a close look at this dead ship and the surrounding area. Slightly closer to Cairns is Brown Bay, a beautiful spot. We tried to capture it on the drone.
NSW Cordeaux Heights Coal Mine - drone cam
มุมมอง 1714 หลายเดือนก่อน
Flying over and around the Cordeaux Coal Mine coal heap. Note the train track UNDER the raised coal pile being fed directly into its hoppers and the conveyor belt feeding coal from above. This is nestled between the grassy hills of the local farms. It would be interesting to get a look at the actual mine tunnels. I'll wait till I'm invited.

Excellent viewing. Very famiiliar with Holbourn Park / Hooka Point area a great part of the Illawarra. Gooseberry and Hooka Islets are a great view from the path around Hooka Point. Gooseberrry had a dancing hall located there around 80-100 years ago and our Grandies used to get there by rowboat from a landing located on the lake side of the shelter shed in Holbourn. Think about sending the bird in a slightly northern direction where there is a lovely boardwalk and the Reconsiliation Bridge over Hooka Creek into the baseball fields at Fred Finch Park. Lots of historic significance here as Hooka used to be an indigenous Chief of the local mob so there are middens to be found also.
@@flamingfrancis I may do that. I flew it under the bridge over a year ago but I didn't make a "proper" video. Are you local?
❤🎉❤🎉
Beautiful
Thanks. Glad you enjoy these.
Flying along the watercourse, what a great way to view the gorge.
Thanks. It's a great place. We went to Cobbold Gorge as well. Cobbold was also beautiful but privately owned, heavily controlled, expensive and inaccessible outside their tours. Copperfield was free, easy access and self explore so I wanted to promote it. I didn't find the crocodile.
Hey there. We met at the park. Nice video. We'll have to arrange a walk sometime to talk theories n stuff.
Sure. You can find & message me on Facebook - Stewart Tunbridge
Do you need permission to fly drone over wave rock?
@@supernova1712 Hi. There are several wave type rocks in central Australia so I am unaware of any specific rules regarding the one in Hyden. If there are no signs then the nationwide rules would apply.
This is primarily part of the Coke Ovens on the very edge of the plant. Do be very careful when droning over plant like this as it is restricted airspace over private property. This is done for a reason as potentially damaging plant is everywhere. Coke Ovens produce flammable gases some being stored in the large gasholders nearby, Large volumes of steam are evolved when the oven of coke is quenched every five minutes or so. I'm saying this from a safety poiint of view and not some wowser.
www.casa.gov.au/knowyourdrone/drone-rules I am aware and take great care regarding safety. One benefit of using a lightweight drones (<250g) is that it is less capable of doing harm which is why there are few rules controlling them.
A haven from tropical heat, went there a few times many years ago.
Antiquark, insane done. have a great day-
Hi Eugene. I'm Stewart, from Wollongong, Australia. Where are you from?
Thank you for posting this. I will be visiting Lugo in Feb 2025. Winter time, quiet streets.
Thanks for watching. I hope you get to see many amazing places in Spain and Portugal. There are many that we missed.
Great footage.
Thank you.
Thats got to be the flattest day ever recorded!
It's often a great spot for snorkelling.
Let me guess the end Rock platform hardly never gets fished? LOL!
Hey Stewart, it’s Hugh from the dog park. I’ve always wondered what those islands looked like up close.
Hi Hugh. Glad you like them. It was nice talking to you too.
Lousy lefts and rotten rights. RIP Colza.
I don't know Colza. Sorry. Did he surf there?
Beautiful, thank you!
My pleasure. Are you a local surfer?
@@antiquark3838 I wish. I left Australia for family reasons in 2005 after 18 wonderful years there. NSW is a very beautiful place!
I agree. That's why I make these videos. Also to keep me out of trouble and get my music out.
Well done! Look forward to your update
It is an offence to fly any drone in or around the Steel Works at Port Kembla.
This video was basically the port storage facilities
That's a lot of imported cars! Great video and music. Well done!
Thanks. I was quite surprised at what I found there. I was standing on the beach and couldn't see much.
È un bellissimo complesso monastico che spero di poter un giorno visitare. Del resto tutta la Spagna è bella.
Ho passato un periodo meraviglioso in Spagna
North Kiama
You are right, I will fix
Golf course needs some water!
We should send them some of ours
Impressive video Stuart. I'd often wondered what the power station looked like and you got some really detailed shots of the entire area. The soundtrack really enhanced the experience.
Thanks, appreciated. This is my 2nd flight from the same starting point but I have become much more adventurous. The music is an attempt at an odd time signature, glad you like it. All the music is on Spotify and TH-cam Music, except for the last lot which will very soon be released on the 3rd album. (See Antiquark 3838)
What spectacular shots, congratulations. I am a foreigner and I would like to be able to fly with my DJI mini 2. Can you tell me if I need authorization to fly in Korea? Thank you
Thanks for the encouraging feedback. I've never checked out Korea (and I'm not a lawyer) but generally (not always) drones under 250g (which the MINI 2 is) can fly unregulated, but check for yourself. 3 rules always apply: Keep under 120m, at least 30m away from random people, 5.5km away from an airport. Enjoy. (And I assume you mean South Korea, in North Korea you will be shot on site)
@@antiquark3838 Hi thanks for the quick reply, yes obviously I mean South Korea and I read somewhere that under 250g you are quite free to fly, with the usual precautions, but I haven't found anything official. However, your kind response confirms what I thought, thank you
great footage...was it all taken on the same day?
No. One flight on a sunny evening, another on cloudy morning.
I'd like a copy of this music. Ia it on spotlight?
It will be on Spotify soon
Be nice to paddle around there when the sea is flat
It would be a long paddle
Very nice! What kind of drone do you have?
Thank you. I have a DJI MINI SE. What do you have? Do you like any of the music (my other hobby)?
@@antiquark3838 I have a DJI mini that I don't use very much. I appreciate your videos because I lived in the Sydney area for quite some time and am nostalgic for Australia. NSW (well, all of Australia) is an amazingly beautiful place.
@@antiquark3838 Oh, and the music matches the video very well.
@@mikenielsen8781 Have you left Australia? Maybe you could put up some local videos as well.
@@mikenielsen8781 Thank you. I have played guitar forever and are full of music ideas. Now these videos give me a platform to put it together and show the world with the hope that someone likes it.
Gorgeous!!!
Glad you like it. Take care.
Amazing landscapes and amazing drone work !
Thanks
I love the Warrabungles Thank you for the video
Thanks for watching. It's one of my favourite places too.
It is breath taking !
Glad you like it
Ouch !! Lucky this wasn't into the ocean ... That's my biggest fear when we fly 😅
It wanted to emergency-land in the ocean. I had to wrestled with it to get it back.
I just love how good these shots are. ❤❤Assuming that your using something like a DJI Mini drone ??
Close. I'm using a dji MINI SE. Where are you based? I'm in Wollongong.
Nice ! How great are these drones hey Sending support from another drone channel
Thank you
What drone? how long have you been flying?
Broke your rules, and beat your high score. I was above the trees, and flying forward. Try harder next time! Or get a bird involved!! (Video proof on my channel!)
Nice. What sort of bird? And do you have the footage?
Thanks, I will definitely try it next time I'm flying👌
Another trick is to hold the controller upside-down.
@@antiquark3838 Will try that too ;] On a serious note - I liked that dirty sounding guitar background as well
@@MaD_fX That dirty sound is when you put distortion to max and don't run thru it first
@@MaD_fX Just crank up the distortion and play rough, with a diminished 5th mandatory.
Muito obrigada!

Very ordinary,Coke Ovens only. Not a true depiction of PK Steelmaking.
I could try again from a different vantage point
This is a great drone video. thank you,👏👏👏
Glad you enjoyed it
I like this. This is an amazing sight video.
Thank you
great !
It was amazing at the top. Do you like any of my music?
Sub here from Sydney
Thanks for subbing.
Bello 👏
Hi
the pure lack of people is why i love the place
Do you like to travel by yourself or just don't like crowds?
@@antiquark3838 nothing good comes from people---nothing---being alone is the best thing
I sense you are carrying some pain. People often hurt but one solid friend is a good thing to have.
@@666dualsport Do you live in Australia?
@@antiquark3838 yes
Australia is often criticised for not taking in more refugees. Even though it is a big country this video gives you insight into much of what the country is like - so dry its unliveable. The salt pans are bodies of water that have dried up in the heat and believe me this land is hot
BTW. All the structures shown are part of the truck stop OR support staff housing, "tip" etc.
I actually never knew what the bight looked like so this is sick. i love this
Thanks. More SA/WA videos coming
really shows how straight the road is how many kilometers? Maybe that could be your clickbait
No , it is that straight . I know , I drove a grader up to the border SA/WA during the construction . `75 There were times when I forgot what the steering wheel was there for .I`d be thinking it was just something to hang on to if I fell asleep .
Glad it was repairable, and like the lessons learnt.😂
I thought I'd never find it. And then only expected pieces. And then expected it was unrepairable. And yet it's still making movies.
