Engine is Henschel from Germany. Locomotive fabrication is from Kawasaki, Japan. I have driven this Engine during test drives from Ratmalana CGR.

It's a very good effort. As per the instructions provided by the driver, it needs lot of skills to start an engine. However if they follow the standers practice for startup or shutdown a complex machines or engines, they must use a "CHECKLIST" which I didn't see anywhere. Then the lot of "User mistakes" can be eliminated as well as the startup procedure can be handed over to a normal technical personnel. I can see lot of areas to be improved in CGR..

great story on the M6, not sure if i heard or not ?? how do you pump diesel, what is the capacity of tank , with full tank what type of km get covered ? please explain kindly
