Weekly Words of Encouragement with T.K. Floyd Foutz
I started creating the Weekly Words of Encouragement video devotionals in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our world needed encouragement back then-and we still do!
These video devotionals cover a variety of topics to encourage our hearts and minds. I pray you are blessed by the content on this channel!

Priscilla, Lydia, & Phoebe: Women Who Helped Spread the Gospel (Women of the Bible series) • WWE
We’ve reached the end of our Women of the Bible series!
Our final installment focuses on 3 women in the New Testament who helped spread the Gospel: Priscilla, Lydia, & Phoebe. Each of these women contributed in some way to the Gospel going out into all the world.
The Apostle Paul met Priscilla and her husband Aquila in Corinth. Paul lived in their home (possibly for the year and a half he was in Corinth teaching the word of God), and they all worked together as tentmakers.
By providing a place for Paul to stay and working with him to earn a living, Priscilla played a role in Paul ministering about Jesus, the Messiah, to both Jewish people and Greek people living in Corinth. She helped spread the Gospel!
We meet Lydia on Paul’s second missionary journey. While Paul and his crew were in Philippi, they met some women who were praying down by the riverbank. Lydia was part of that group.
Lydia recognized the God of Israel as the one true God, and she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior! She then asked the missionaries to stay at her home in Philippi-actually, she “urged” them to stay until they agreed. By extending hospitality to the missionaries, Lydia helped spread the Gospel!
We meet Phoebe in Romans 16. Not only was Phoebe a leader in her local church, but she also helped spread the Gospel by helping Paul. And Biblical scholars believe she may have delivered the letter to the Romans, which means she would have read it to the believers there! Wow!
As we see from the stories of Priscilla, Lydia, & Phoebe, women played a major role in the early church. They helped spread the Gospel-the Good News of Jesus!
Let’s follow their example and do our part to spread the Gospel!

People need realize 2 things 13 verses of amazing grace. Second harriet beecher Stowe wrote the 13th verse.

I believe most of us walk around with a mask on. Mostly to hide what we deem would look bad in the world's eyes. Jesus teaches us that even our imperfections can be used to bring GOD glory. Let's take the masks done and let God's work be done.
