Very interesting presentation. I fully agree to the trends, but I don't see a DAM or a OCP between all the different information and service systems. I think, this will be dedicated automation and distribution systems with interfaces to all the systems. Thank you very much.
What about the Google GMP/GCP stack?
That was EXCELLENT!!!! You guys bring tremendous value. Anyone who know the implications of their Martech and the pros and cons of navigating it, understands that this shows them that they are not alone. Thank you guys.

When Will it be available?
Good thoughts but it could have moved along a bit faster. My key takeaways are that many organizations are looking at these tools to modernize their aging intranets and that specific use case product demos will be much more insightful in the selection process than canned demos.
Hello, I am a bit suprised seeing that in the vendor WCM/Dig.Exp overview on min. 21.17, IBM is mentioned as a 'legacy' platform. This is surprising to me as IBM seems to be investing a lot of focus/money on their Digital Experience platform offering. They are also marked as a leader in the most recent Forrester wave. Can you please comment on what you mean with 'legacy platform' ? Thanks
Hi Johan- Thanks for writing in. Our take: IBM doesn't really have a "Digital Experience Platform." They have a collection of different tools, mostly but not entirely centered around the WebSphere stack. From a purely WCM perspective, IBM definitely falls in a legacy category with older technology that is mostly just an add-on to its portal platform. We have never seen any firm purchase IBM WCM solely on its own merits. In fact, the typical customer gets to buy it for free with their Portal licenses. FYI, it's not unusual that we disagree with Forrester... ;-) Best regards, Tony Byrne RSG

Tony Byrne Thanks Tony. For all clarity, I am not an IBM vendor, just a (worried) IBM customer... Just some more thoughts from my side : - Regarding the 'legacy' technology aspect, if you refer to the fact they are building on top of portal technology (JSR286), I read in one of RSG's other reports that portal technology is not dead yet. Functionally I also can understand the reasons behind their portal based strategy, as more non-WCM data (like commerce data) will be integrated into 1 frontend customer site experience. To avoid the 2-site-syndrom. - On the matter of being not offering a platform, please see www-01.ibm.com/software/collaboration/digitalexperience/index.html - Your comment on customers selecting it solely on its own merits, looks very usefull. When there is interest in blending it with a commerce platform like Websphere Commerce, then this IBM PLATFORM brings value. Still, I learn from you that choosing a second WCM PRODUCT is a valid strategy. But what, after a while, if the business needs drives a product driven website towards platform needs? Big rëngineering costs ? I pitty that this dual strategy can not be avoided, by offering a 'one fits all' technology solution (product + platform + portal)... Perhaps this is exactly the USP that IBM is offering ? - IBM is also listed as leader in Gartner's quadrant ... :-)
