Ford Grand Tourneo Connect 2017 Retropectivly Fitting a Spare Wheel
Trying to find any reference for retrospectively fitting a spare wheel to a Ford Tourneo Connect was almost impossible.
Even trying to find the correct parts was not easy, but I did it.
Ford did take a very long time to get the parts to me, but at least its on now.
The mere thought of pumping in some gluppy stuff to fix a tyre with a small like nail hole would be fine. But a pothole gash out in the middle of nowhere you are stuffed and will cost a fortune.
For me it’s just insurance to be more independent.
What helped a lot was a chappy on utube @carjunkies was replacing his Spare Wheel Carrier, he did have minor issues with rust but was more then capable to solve it.
Now for a Towbar 😳😳😳

Mavic Air great piece of kit, getting used to using it. However in the woods every branch twig leaf can cause a major malfunction. So all the shots were ran through at least 2-3 times whilst watching the Drone to make sure no impact damage would occur, then set to record. So much to learn from such a cute little Drone.

    A lot of shooting and not much real information. Much of the time the viewer had no idea what the POA was as compared to the POI. So it was just a guy shooting arrows down range. And no mention of the arrows. Were these spine matched and sorted? Or straight from the factory unmatched arrows. If the later, that could have caused variations in POIs that had nothing to do with the bow. Too bad. It could have been a very informative video.

      Hi, the winch spare wheel carrier and spare wheel mounting plate came from Ford's via Ebay ... took ages but guaranteed to have the correct item ... the spare wheel was online I believe the website is in the info bits ... although I had no issues with the wheel jack braces etc ... apparently in the comments the company seems poor on there feedback. I bought one of these knives many many years ago. From what I understand was its first run. I have No.69 of 500, stamped on the blade somehow. Unfortunately I don't have the box but I do have all the other original bits that came with it. Found in in my attic recently then found your video.

    In my experience, the nocturnal nocks just don't work for me. I bought 3 packs and after practicing with them, every single one of them are cracked around the nock part that clicks down. And they also tend to turn off if the arrow doesn't pass through the animal and gets knocked around while the animal is running. I shot a deer and when I found it, the nock had turned off because of that. My crossbow shoots 400 fps by the way.

      Thanks for your comments much appreciated. I’m going to re-profile the blade as I was learning many knew skills and have taken note of the ones I can rectify. The Scandi Grind was fairly shallow which made it incredibly sharp and great for feathering sticks and cutting meat and bits. However I didn’t hold back on any Bushcraft and survival jobs just because I made it and used it fully. This showed up the blade weakness in so much that when your processing wood and you split down you occasionally twist the blade to separate the final bit. This eventually weakened and chipped the blade. So hence re-profile and I’ll record that the process. I have since acquired at a super price a dedicated 2nd hand 2” x 72” knife grinder with hundreds of pounds worth of belts that came with it. Looking forward to playing with that and making knew knifes for the summer. You Take Care

      £120 😳 nothing like that now if you can get them. They can generate some serious dosh, I was lucky to buy mine at a super price. I'm using my other blanks to make a different style bushcraft knife but a much less angle on the grind, razor sharp but not strong when twisting when wood processing. I have used it for everything to see the weakness so hopefully my next one will be better and stronger. "I hope"

      You are right if your not used to pulling it back it can be a shock. I come from the Compound Bow side and am used to pulling back #70 draw and #93 on a longbow so didn't really cause in issue. However some of my colleagues do find it hard but once I show the technique where there not just using there back and possible straining it they do find it easier and with practice then doesn't become a chore.

      Hi, yes bang on well spotted. I almost did a Robin Hood at the start, the fletching had minor damage and to the eye it seemed ok. But once you view it yes you can see the corkscrewing. I used for most of the clips the Mission Bolts and after subsequent outings with the Xbow you defiantly don't want to shoot at the same point, it will become expensive with the accuracy.

I filmed this months ago and I shall be filming penetration clips through certain items which will be fun to do. I do have a selection of targets and the Sub1 bolts pass straight through them the 18-1 Target boss in the clip is perfect for containing the bolts so you don't ruin them.

    Bigfoot faultless... like all machines they must be serviced. In good weather max speed just over 30mph there are other clips where it's full throttle. However economy suffers so by reducing down too 20-25mph greatly increases range. The best piece of kit for performance and economy is the auto trim you can adjust in all water conditions makes for a better ride as well.

And yes as you pointed out the trajectory suggest the target is much further away, it's actually 80yds. When I filmed it the first time the camera was directly behind me and the effect wasn't as good so I moved the camera back several times until I was happy. Thanks for commenting and safe shooting.

    What knots would she do full throttle in good weather?

    • @ocsapy
      @ocsapy 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +owen lynch Hi Sorry for the much delayed answer, must of missed your email notice. Ok I normally carry around 80 litres of fuel with the normal things you would carry for safety equipment. Weight is the biggest killer in overall speed & economy. One up on a calm day she will fly around 35 knots (40mph). Four up around 30 knots (35mph). All is dependant on accurate trimming when on the plain which can have a massive impact on speed and economy. Not a cheap hobby, to motor out to decent fishing grounds I'll burn 40-50lts which equates to approx 50miles round trip. As for handling there seems to be better boats out there , like the Warrior Range and copies of it. However this is well used and totally reliable and that's what matters. I have been out in some pretty rough weather with no concerns, a tough little boat.

  • @ocsapy
    @ocsapy 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    She took on lots of water, but being a Seahog the deck space is clean and clutter free, so nothing got wet inside. I have a bilge pump rated for 300gpm and took just over a minute to empty job done. I have done it severel times since this clip and filmed it, the only thing is I wait for more water now as I have an Aux 5hp motor which obviously adds more weight hence goes in deeper.
