A lot of people just dont get the ''Black Elvis' thing- crazy when you think Elvis grew up listening to black gospel music and rhythm and blues. If you miss that about Elvis you dont understand his cultural importance. Colbert is doing the same thing in a sincere and loving way. This is an amazing performance so full of symbolism...just awesome.

ELVIS WOULD NOT HAVE SUPPORTED OBAMA. Elvis was a strong gun advocate & owned over 30 something guns in the 70's. He even owned a Thompson sub-machine gun & an M-16. He and his guys all had permits to carry their weapons, & Elvis would occaisonally perform a show with a gun tucked in his boot. There's no way in hell he would support anyone or legislation telling him what kind of gun or how many he could own.
