I was born in 1945, so I really grew up in the 50s. It was great ! The freedom we had as kids was unbelievable. Playing in the neighborhood until your mom called you in for dinner. We all played outside. We were so much more physically active than the kids of today. No computers, or cell phones tied us down ! Life was good in the 50s ! 💙💙💙

This music makes you feel that everything was so great and wonderful back then. Did you see the Alabama pic. With the line for white people and a line for colored people? that is how F’d up our country was. Not to mention the Korean War back in the 50’s.

Most of these ladies were probably models; nevertheless, women dressed very nicely in that era.

1930ies? Most of those colorized movies were from 1890 - 1910. Steam engines look very different in thec1930ies except those in the UK

I'd question one or two of your dates - photo 4, for example, that's a very, very old engine - a balloon stacked woodburner with a nameplate, for 1911. Similarly at 5.20, they seem quite old engines for 1953. Some pictures are familiar - the coaches dangling from fallen bridges - but none the worse for that.

Can't believed it .. the Qasar unipower ended up in 1984 in my friend's yard in a Paris subburb , it was a prototype made for movies with a Mini engine and chassis .. the picture was taken a bout Five Km from his home ... crazy stuff !
