MechMaxx Stump Grinder Review
This is my review of the MechMaxx stump grinder that I purchased. Overall this is a great implement and it functions exactly how I expected it to. It seems to be built well and after having it for several weeks and 7-8 stumps grinded, it has performed flawlessly. Thick gauge steel, PTO clutch, price, and overall build quality makes this a product I would recommend.

Thanks for the video. I’m waiting patiently on mine to arrive.
I’m sure it’ll show up. They aren’t great with communication but I don’t think they are scamming anyone.
I am liking what I see, however, I will be cutting mesquite which is very, hard what would your thoughts be, thank you in advance and have a good evening.
I think it would depend more on the tractor than the cutting tool itself. This thing is built tough and can take a beating. If you’ve got the hp and weight on the tractor you’ll get through it.
your cutting on the wrong side of the wheel, start on opposite side of stump.
thanks for the advice. I will have to remember that next time.
Nice implement, one recommendation, start on the other side of the stump, see page 19 and 20 of the manual. Thanks for the vid, I'm trying to decide if I'd rather have the MechMaxx or Woodland Mills grinder.
exact same units, mechmaxx is much less expensive, $1899 currently i love mine!
thanks for the advice. I guess it would have helped if I had read the whole thing before starting.
Absolutely love mine as well!
You made a good choice with this grinder 😎😎
Most interesting just a couple of months ago there no videos of this stump grinder when I was doing comparisons now there's many of them, in any event its the one I went with and its scheduled to be delivered today so apparently MechMaxx is becoming a bigger player in the market, certainly can't beat their price and everyone seems to be happy with them even though there's a little bit of a wait getting one.
I was frustrated when I first started shopping and couldn't find anything on youtube about the MechMaxx stump grinder but since I took the gamble and purchased one and it actually showed up I figured I would make a video. My wife told me I should reach out and ask them if they would pay me for posting it. I was more interested in a spare set of teeth for the grinder. So I messaged them about 6 weeks ago asking if I posted a video if they would send me a spare set of teeth and they said yes. Took me a while to put the video together but when I did finally have it together, when I went to post it I saw a bunch of videos posted right around the same time I reached out to them. I found it very odd as well. Since posting the video I haven't been able to get confirmation on my spare teeth. We will see how that goes. In the end, the agreement for sending me a spare set of teeth didn't change my review in any way. I just wanted to put something out there so other people could feel confident in making the cost effective purchase even thought the company seems a little sketchy.
@@jamesking7646 Everything you say is my experience, when I was getting serious they offered me an additional 5% off so when I went to place the order the code they gave me wouldn't work but further communications they said if I gave them a good review they'd do so, I then said only if its warranted so I pulled the trigger and have been happy thus far other than the the included PTO shaft is border line too short for my set up and they said its the only one they sell and look on Amazon for a longer one, I'm also waiting on the 18 extra teeth I ordered and paid for they said would be shipped when back in stock. Their communications are very good.
@@jamesking7646 Mine came 3 days ago without the spare teeth I ordered, put it through its paces Sunday on a half dozen various size stumps, worked great despite me having a gear driven tractor, looking into a back up camera to help with the biggest issue not being able to see what I'm doing and killing my back.
No complaints from me. I love my grinder. It's been on the tractor for 6 weeks straight.
@@projectswithjw Same here, only had it 4 days though.
Great job. Preciate the video!
