I hate the story. It should say pussies too afraid to do anything scream like Democrats and cry, constantly wearing about their wet vaginas.

Terrible writing. Too much is unseen, unspoken and unknown.

They want to know what is under his skin, because they want to cook him and eat him. These stories are just crazy. Maybe the desire they have is for dinner. They might see him as food. You can never know what an alien wants, especially with all these unspoken yearnings.

They mention a "translation field" but then the power supposedly goes out and they are still able to communicate. Naturally all aliens everywhere speak English AND they are biologically compatible so they can have a relationship with all these "unspoken yearnings". When you are from a different society, there is no way for things to go unspoken because you can't have the same expectations. Too many things in this stoy are, UNSPOKEN. It is just dumb

I know that in almost all the SciFi stories the aliens on every planet in the universe all have compatible biology and vaguely similar appearance and they all speak English but these stories are just dumb. It is incredibly unlikely that aliens will be similar to humans either physically or socially.

If that was truly an ice world, where did they find wood. Did trees grow in the ice, trees grow in the soil, where was the forest ?

One of the better story's that I've lessoned too, but I must say a very weak ending. Cale and the Queen should have stood their ground to show how powerful they were together. They should have set a trap and when they came for them, killed them all. Showing nobody messes with the Queen and her man.
