มุมมอง 9348 หลายเดือนก่อน
A quick knitting tutorial by Fiona Stevenson for the k5below stitch from the Killer Queen Shawl pattern (link to pattern below). I LOVE this pattern and the look of this textured stitch. It’s a form of the Danish traditional Sailor Bobble knit using two colours of yarn which creates a scallop shape. The project I’m working on is a triangular shawl version that I’m improvising and sharing with t...

Thrumming instructions are also written on the video and I have included the written instructions below as well. I created this video for a thrum mitten class to play in the background while I was teaching, so there are no verbal instructions. Let me know in t...

I’m working on this exact cowl, thanks for the easy to understand video!
Ma perché quelle maglie non le lasci in sospeso s un ferro ausiliario ? 🤔💚☹💙
OMG I. Love That method. Thank you so much. It’s so relaxing with this music.
Thank you so much I love the way that you are explaining. It’s very clear and you don’t speak fast so it is easier to understand. I Will do this method. Hope to see more videos
Very interesting! Thank you for sharing your thought process
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. I appreciate the support!
Do you have a pattern for the blue shawl?
It’s called a Float Shawl. You can find the pattern on Ravelry.
Do you have a pattern for the blue shawl?
Thank you!
You’re very welcome!
THANK YOU!
Hello, thanks for the review. What is the brand of the silk/Superwash merino blend you mentioned last?
It’s by Yarn Indulgence and it’s called Silky Indulgence. You could also use their Luxe Silky
Excellent tutorial!!
Thanks so much!
Lovely!thank u❤
Yours is the best video I’ve seen with clarity and great visual demo of this previously very difficult process! Thank you😊
You’re very welcome! I’m happy to hear it helped.
Love this concept! Tangeled up in blue I'm here for it! ❤
it seems like a really cool place.
This is awesome and so easy. Thank you!
Best tutorial I’ve found. Thank you!
This is by far the best explanation on how to pick up stitches. I finally get the concept. My question is....WHERE on the underarm row do you start to pick up stitches? In the middle, the left side or the right? My pattern calls for picking up one stitch, knit 28, then pick up one more stitch for a total of 30.
THANKS! In most patterns you will start picking up stitches in the centre of the underarm, work the stitches off the stitch holder around the sleeve, then pick up the remaining stitches under the arm ending at the centre. Usually you’ll add a beginning of the round marker at this centre.
Good video. I like the way to remember how to make the stitch.
I really need these little memory cues, because I hate having to look up the M1R and M1L every time.
"Promosm" 😱
I am working a pattern that instructed me to cast on 6 stitches for each underarm, but then wants me to pick up 9 stitches for each underarm. I am overthinking on which side of the cast on stitches I should pick up the second extra stitch. It feels like it should either be 8 or 10, not 9.
Yeah, that seems odd, but my rule of thumb is always trust the designer. There maybe some design element that requires an odd number of stitches. Do the best you can!
How do I pick up stitches that are purled? Your video was very helpful but my pattern includes purled stitches and now I am as confused as I was in the beginning :( <3
Hi! I’m not sure I can describe how to pick those up without a video. Perhaps I need to make a video just for purl pick ups!
I am always so appreciative of people like you who take the time to make these videos. This was extremely helpful and just wanted to say thanks!
Aw, thanks! I really only created these for a class I was teaching, but I’m very happy they’ve helped you out!
Awesome. Could never get my pickup stitches without gaps!! Thank you.
Excellent! Very clear instruction. Thank you!
great video... thank you so much for sharing!!!!
Thank you so much for this video! I have watched so, so many videos on this, but yours is the first that is so zoomed in, I feel confident now to give it a try!
Hi Fiona. Can can you please post a link to the video on how to pick up the stitches without having the gap. That would be wonderful. Thanks so much for all your great videos
Following
Very helpful indeed! So I’ve done the neckline stitches all wrong ( but undetectable) and I won’t make the same mistakes on the arm holes! Thank you, very clear demo.
Excellent 👌 thanks 😊
Wow great really helpful. Thank you so much
😃😍
Thank you for posting have a great day 🌹🌹🌹
Beautiful.👍👍
Knitting my first sweater on circular needles, and this video is super helpful, thank you!
Hi. HAPPY NEW YEAR 2021. Your video popped before my eyes and I thought I would watch it. No regrets. Just loved your humor. It made me giggle when the camera was playing hide and seek. It was FUN watching you. You taught me something new. I always caught the V stitch. The biggest mistake. Thanks for sharing caring and making me smile 🥰😁💐💐💗💗 a big hug from France.
