If you’re seeing this DO NOT GET THE STEAM VERSION. It’s the Wii port and I was wondering why the game looks significantly worse than what I remembered as a kid it can’t just be my memory. Even so,e mechanics and concepts in the toy box mode are different so stay away from it. I emulated Toy Story 3 PS3 edition and my 6 year old self is alive again playing the game with a PS5 controller at 144 fps😂😂😂

10:32 I never actually got to the submarine because the section where you bounced on mines really got me stuck, I just wasn't good at moving so I would bounce on a mine too much and die

Great review! I played the PS2 version back at release but never beat it, went back to it yesterday and made it most of the way through the Autobot campaign. It’s average at best. Not frustrating or embarrassingly bad like many movie tie-in games, but just kinda functional and dull. Like the bones of an action game wrapped in an IP coating. The epitome of a 5/10. At least it’s relatively playable and makes good on the license. It feels like the movie.

i played this game SO much, i remember trying to get past the boundaries of the levels to see if there's anything beyond it. oh to be young and curious again

honestly some of the character designs look like they came straight out of China Specially jimmy neutron.

I like to use plays like 90s Nicktoons characters but I wish there were more of the players angry beavers Helga and cat dog

Hey Omega! You forgot to mention the voice acting in the game. None of the actors from the movie reprised their roles in the game, except for David P. Smith who reprised his role as crazy Joe.

The Decepticon DS game might’ve been the best game on that entire console. I remember sinking hours of my life into it.

Even handheld portable versions of this game are all good and none of them felt like a lazy cash grab like so many movies tie in games of its time. One of the very few rare occasions where all the very different versions of movie tie-in game are all good. DS also got more Ratatouille love than other platforms as it also has Ratatouille Food Frenzy. My favorite is GBA version being the cutest and most impressive of them all with impressive looking and expressive 2D sprites work.

Cross save as a feature in any game is crazy ambitious, you wouldn't think they try it with a bunch of kids games since that market isn't something you can console target which is why all these games were multiplatform, maybe that's why this is PS2 exclusive sadly.

The only memory’s I have with this game are me destroying the whole city as Autobot and failing the first mission in the Decepticon campaign over and over again lmao. But it was fun and the graphics are really good for 17 years. Maybe I should try it again

I bought my first PC and out of no where my father game me a cd and said, try this one. OMG it installed transformers and i played this one game for a whole year i just didnt do the story, i was in bumblebee part lvl 1 and i was just him. wow! i miss that
