3:26 if the block is holed then the block, crank and at least 1 rod (likely 2) is scrap, no rebuilding that one, so aside from 1 or maybe both heads, the whole engine is scrap 🙁 Totally agree about oil analysis not being sure enough to pickup bad bearings (I found some examples and posted them to the m3post forum) and bearings to be changed preventatively 👍. Btw have you heard about the new theory for (some of) the rod bearing wear? (at least for the lead type ones). A couple of guys from Mahle examined some old worn rod bearings (from my car) and thought that chemical corrosion more closely matches the wear seen (at least for my bearings, and mine showed wear typical for these). A likely culprit is thought to be ethanol. Regarding the ACL bearings, the only way to get the right clearance is to hand measure each shell, it is not clear from that advert if they actually do that. 17:00 If anyone's going to DIY the clip on covers, make REAL sure that each and every lug is fully seated (look closely!), either use a dentist mirror or turn the engine over to check EVERY lug (their have been some cases of these been found not to be fully clipped on, they are VERY tight to snap in!).

It save me a lot of time and hassle and I nearly broke this fiberglass replacement bumper cover trying to bend it around the front of the hard Styrofoam Spacer piece that you showed me needed to be removed. Very good video, thanks for the explanation! Few things probably I’d do a bit differently. maybe not required to take out the speaker cover if there’s no speaker. Prying the door panel is hard, go on one side, better use a prying tool to pull one one or two clips first . Then try to grab as deeply as possible and gently pull out. It’s difficult but doable. At one stage I thought I’ll break it😅. While putting things back, put the bottom of the door handle first in place then put the rest of it to click it in. Then while putting the door trim back, put the top part first, make sure it’s properly sitting in the place without leaving gap. If you’re not sure just check on the other door. Click the top part first then rest of it!!

Hi mate. Do you know if all F10 Dashboards are the same? Reason: I have a 535i F10 LCI and the leather has started coming off it. I found an M5 F10 (Non-LCI) Dash I want to buy, but don't know if it will fit. The M5 dash I saw still has the HUD Hole, and I need to swap the buttons for HUD, Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Sensor etc... But thats all the difference I can see from pics. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
