Quit many years ago but before that i was like a dying butterfly that returned less and less over time, stopped trying to get collectibles and stuff and stopped making friends, I loved that game back in 2019-2021 but we grow and its been years since i just silently disappeared from all my friends and friends who have long never come back. I'm almost in college now :} hope everyone who still plays knows that it was once just a game with many japanese, koreans, chinese, etc. and innocent friendships and peace than what it is now. It was once what was part of my childhood and growth and that you're playing a game that many enjoy and have enjoyed, what it was may be overwritten but you're still on the same grounds that many have passed before, including me :) enjoy it lots, you're holding onto a piece of many people's hearts even if it may just be a game. Many have loved and lost there like I have, many have met big figures in their life there like I have, some may have even fallen in love! Or gotten their first love there. Some may have healed a chunk or even just a bit by discovering or retreating to sky, like I have once :) Even after I left, it still holds a place in my heart, of pain, love, and nostalgia, overall a really soft and sweet game. Enjoy it alone or with many, that is what the game was made for afterall 🫂🫀

I miss when sky was just "a a a" and then youre best friends forever and you glide and the final battle is just the one where theres falling rocks. no sponsor, no popularity. just using a translator to talk with your chinese friend that you met a minute ago and already love. i wish it was the game i played eith my father when i was sad.

And I thought grandma was a chore, try doing it with this bug! Can't keep my candle out for more than two seconds before it resets me into that stupid animation! Can't run, can't jump, can't fly properly. You'd think they'd, oh I don't know, maybe remove the daily light refresh animation until they fixed the problem so people can actually play the game? Ridiculous!

They did some kind of temporary fix that took effect upon this past reset, speaking as a Switch player. They're trying to find the root cause of the bug, which shouldn't have happened in the first place...

When is sky NOT broken lol

I just came back to sky after of 2 years of quitting. I was overwhelmed with how many new events and content are added. There are so many new "Days of..." which was not there before. It used to be just mischief, feast, fortune, bloom, love, summer, earth day, pride month back then. Now just looks like TGC is trying to get people to buy more IAP items with all these new events. Also, the travelling spirits returning as a group. I get it gives more variety to people so they won't be stuck with just one spirit. But wouldn't this add to more stress for people to cr because of FOMO? It was manageable with just 1 spirit every 2 weeks back then. Now I imagine even with full CR for 2 weeks wouldn't earn you enough candles to buy out all 4 spirits. What about hearts? Don't people need candles to gift/receive hearts anymore? Im happy I finished all the main constellations back then so I don't need hearts anymore to get the base game cosmetics and T2 capes. I thought I had it bad with the sword pants + crab whisperer return back then, I can't how things are like now. I feel sad for those fairly new players who have to keep up with ts, ts groups, events and also save candles to do heart trades. Feels like Sky used to be simpler back then. Now its like a different game, one more focused on hoarding the latest cosmetics and playing house. With all these and coupled with the fact that all my old friends have left the game, I think I would be content to leave Sky as a fond memory already. I miss the old you, Sky.

I’m really glad that ppl are starting to call tgc out more on this. For too long the forced positivity TGC can do no wrong attitude that everyone had to have had been really toxic.

Been playing since 2020 and recently quit because of this. Sky’s so peaceful but the IAPS and events and high candle and real costs make it so stressful. Don’t get me wrong; I love the Worldbuilding, the music, and the story told through moth of the spirits. But it feels like TCG has put that on the backburner in exchange for costly seasons with less content than some of the older ones. A Sky death sounds nice :D I might try it some time. Your style of videos is so relaxing to watch, I really like it! And your Sky character is adorable. Hope you have a wonderful day stranger :>

I understand its a way of supporting a free game but still... too expensive for pixels

Here in the Philli we can't afford them IAP some might cause y'know rich, but honestly I played this game to have fun but now it's getting grind grind grind and not staying longer after a run it's getting sad sometimes how more people got dragged in all of that and missing the Fun... It's just sad.

Im a "new" player, Ive played for 10 months now and kinda saw Sky make major changes slowly over time (the heart system on shared memories being one i regret I didn't use as often) But seeing and knowing how much has changed is saddening.. i only really go online for my friends since we group candle run sometimes. Other than that, my solution to the candle issue was to go back to focusing on the main game and items, some event come back next year (increased prices or not) I'd be better prepared to handle them instead of tackling each event with a "paycheck to paycheck" mindset. This year, i got nothing from the days of Shattering and light event, and while im upset by it, honestly. I know this won't impact my life, and i can spend my irl money on a meal instead of candles I've also played less and started solo playing again

I miss when the game was just about exploring and learning the lore of the spirits, even the minor ones and how the cosmetics were designed like they were made from the world itself. Now it just feels like rebranded movie star planet, NO I don't want my ember honking flying fantasy character to wear denim jeans and have an apartment

I just wish the game had more to do than candlerunning, at least make the grind fun by giving candles in minigames...

I can't really afford any IAPs and anything that's IGC has sparked the FOMO in me so bad that I've forced my sleep schedule into a ditch (right after fixing it lol) just to be able to stay up at reset to grind my quests and 20-22 candles of the day ;0 I need to stop, but I'm too scared I'm gonna miss something I'd REALLY want to have- I think I'm gonna use this moomin season to take a break or so ;0

I’ve been playing this game around 5 years, and I am ashamed of what it has come to. Yes, they’ve added things we’ve asked for; however, it took years of begging. Bugs get released and are seldom solved, constant crashing and server issues. And my oh my the INFLATION. I remember the day they sent a worldwide message that they’d be raising prices and at the time I thought “it won’t be that bad, I bet”. Oh how I was wrong. This game, though lovely, had given me extreme burnout and a spike at anxiety. I feel upset at myself for not playing daily, but I know it’ll ruin what sleep I have left and which the addition that I have a very busy life now. This game kept me living at one point in life, and I thank it for that. Sadly, I think I’ll have to depart from it one day.

I feel like hearts and lights in constellations should be based on how much of the friend tree you have unlocked. Thus, it makes sense to have special and close relationships instead of accumulating “light buddies”. Another thing would be that gifting light to friends also gifts a slight amount to you as well, promoting “selfish” altruism- not the best, but it gives incentive.

I wish IAP pricing was dynamic e.g. countries with lower purchasing power would get IAP pricing lowered.

YOU…think TGC gives a fffffffck about ur complaints..--uuuummm…nope, all TGC employees get paid whether you buy their copy/paste capes or not…., they still gonna get paid their fat check, and that’s a FACT…😊

What a shame that the game has changed. I’m F2P, solo and lately role player. This game made me to become role player. Candle run and price are not my problem even tho I have some IAP things. I like all seasons and events, my favourite ones are Performance and days of bloom because they are relax. I actually like how season of Duet ended, their song and reunited together made me cry. Do you know it will be season of Moomin after current season? I can't wait for it, it’s not because of cosmetics, but it’s because my family and I watched it when I was a kid and that would be nostalgic to me. Sky is just a game, the game about relaxing and online. I have played it for 4 years and it’s still one of my favourite games. See you.
