@chigasaki06 It's all relative your typical BMW will have far more electronic systems running your car over any lesser brand such as ford, vauxhall, kia etc so by the law of odds it will go wrong more often. The difference I hold on German cars in general is that the excluding the electronic hiccups the engineering of the car does run supreme and you can see this in the 30 year old Mk1 Golf Gti's still running around still often with the original paint and very little corrosion.

@nielsboex My statement wasn't based on a mere assumption. Secondly, I didn't realize one had to own "numerous cars of each each model" to make that determination. 1. My father owns a foreign auto repair shop, guess which brand he works on the most? BMW. Mostly b/c of electrical issues. He always tells me never to get own unless there's a good warranty, bound to give trouble. Lastly, based on consumer reports etc, German brands, particularly BMW don't fair very well.

@bk11121988 No. The 3 Series badged as a 2012 was sold throughout 2012 and production stopped in October or thereabouts. The all new 3 Series, which will be available in Sport, Luxury and Modern versions, will be out I think later this month and will be badged as a "2013" BMW.

@jonglin71 BMWs are completely full of soul, they are brilliant driving machines, no matter what model you are buying, as long as it's a RWD one.

I like the BMW ActiveHybrid system because it does not corrupt the transmission. To put meaning to what I said, it does not have that appaling CVT transmission, like Toyota, Lexus and other manufacturers.

I like it when he says BMW.
