Came out really nice.Only thing I would do different would be to use stainless rod,and polish it before welding.
Thanks for watching. Paint or powder coat is the plan.
That looks really good my friend 🍺🍺
Thanks man. You too
Thanks to share the start to finish process, help me a lot. I m take the idea to Brasil to make my own.
Glad to help. Cheers and thanks for watching.
I heard he as a few cool things out there .. I have never been, but I have sent people there to get stuff for me
Great job, love the cylinder doing all the work, saves using a 6ft length of pipe.
How did you make it
Lots of patience. Sorry I don’t have any build pics.
Looks nice....love patina n paint
Thanks. Twas worth the wait.
I dig it. Ratfink mother hummer. For my taste, the belt is kinda wide, but it's cool .
Progress I like Progress I like Roadsters
I’ll be back at it soon. Cheers Spider.
I have a 1939 trashed that junk frame and mouted the body on an S10. It was more work than an Exploder. MAN you have alot of work to do! LABOR OF ❤️
Thanks for watching. I appreciate it. Cheers

Why not just back it with aluminum and fill it in?
Heat shrinkage
Weld won’t stick to copper. Thanks for watching.

G'day from Down Under here in Australia! I too have a '38 Ford albeit mine is a 5 tone 85 horsepower truck, but same colour and cab as yours. Is there a way I could message you to get more information for I'd like to pick your brains in how to do a restoration similar to yours. Thanks in advance :)

Fine tutorial...hope your rust wrangling has been going well!
Thanks. Hope it helps someone. Cheers. Ward
Awesome
That should do the job. Thanks for sharing it with us. -Spanky
Thanks for the video. I just bought and finished putting the same press together. Agree the instructions could be much better. One issue I have is that I've very little movement when using my air hose. Thinking I might have low oil or air needs to be bled. What psi are you ? Did you have to put any oil in?
I didn’t have to put oil in. My psi was around 120. I used the handle to quickly pump it to the work piece then the air to slowly finish. Agreed the air seems slower. Thanks for watching.
Very nice , I have a 39 no door trim yet
Nothing wrong with that it looks good
Thanks. Way better than it was. Ha ha
Nice 38 but it's got the wrong bed
It’s a 48 bed.
@@hellendalehotrods4130 Thanks Mate
Are you down under? Sure see a lot of cool rods there.
@@hellendalehotrods4130 Yes Mate what gives it away Mate ha ha ha I know I'm so funny , I'm in Queensland a bit like your Florida , Come down I'll buy you a beer

like see if they make a truck or car last this many years
LOL sounds like the cylinder was as tough to put in as it was to explain. 😂
A real tongue twister
pprobably better than the original, very good way to bring it back to life
Bulletproof now ha ha
Cut the frame off from the firewall, put a 1980 Camaro Front frame on and throw a small block on. The flathead is good for originality but is not reliable. The drum breaks won’t stop so the Camaro front frame will give u power steering and nice and reliable disc brakes.
Yes it’s a good alternative. I did that on a 53 gmc. Cheers
Doing the same on mine ( 39 pickup )
Right on. Use what you got. Cheers.
@@hellendalehotrods4130 love your work , Mate
Thanks man
Thank you I learn a lot and enjoy watching . I have a 1939 from out of Arizona body really great shape. just can't find a windshield frame or door leakage for open door from in side. Don't really want put electric door poppers in it . But gave me a lot of good idea's thank you happy new year
Right on. They are nice old rides. Cheers and thanks for watching.
I'd put my blue jeans in the seat of any of those trucks ❤❤❤
Ya there pretty cool. My happy place indeed.
Nice work they look good on them truck, but I hope you cut out your runningboards so the defenders can be bolted to them.
Thank you. I finished off the fender ends. Thanks for watching. Cheers
Nice work, widening fenders an try your patience. Merry Christmas.
HI H.D.H. PERHAPS YOU COULD HAVE NOT WELDED THE ORIGINAL INNER FLANGE BACK ON, AND MADE THE NEW STRIP OF METAL WIDER , AND MADE A FLANGE ON IT.. THIS WOULD HAVE YOU DOING ONLY ONE FULL WELD ALONG THE ENTIRE GUARD, AND A LOT LESS WARPING AND GRINDING..JUST SAYING. CHEERS FROM CHILL FROM NEW SOUTH WALES, IN AUSTRALIA..
Love your 38 I have a 39 here in Qld Australia
Right on. Thanks for watching.
Hello. Why was it rolled on the English wheel in the beginning? Should I set a pre-stretch before the beadroller
It helps prevent warping if you run it through the wheel first. Along the areas where you will bead roll. Thanks for watching.
Very nice collection!!
Thanks man. My happy place.
I’ve got two Origanal roadster quarters are you interested 30-31
I’m interested. Where are you located? I’m not sure how to contact each other through here?

63 or 64 Chevy truck
Good job my friend 👍🍺🍺
Thank you
Nice die work on your mold, nice work and don't worry about the extra fill in the corner, a cutoff wheel will make it look factory when your done grinding out the chicken poo 😂
Thanks. It was fun one.
That triple bead was a neat work around! Looking good.
Thanks. It wasn’t perfect but way better now. Cheers
Nice job!
Thank you.
I had to leave when the pedophile music played,
Somebody’s looking forward to a nice warm shop for this winter!
Always buddy. Cheers
Very good! answered a few questions.
Glad it was helpful!
Doing a great job man. Bringing one back from the dead is a noble cause...who cares if they think we're crazy eh...
