The season review of our very own fantasy football game! Each week you pick a team, however that team performs is how your team performs. The twist? You can only pick each team once before you can repick them, meaning you have to choose wisely! It may sound complicated, but believe me, it’s a LOT of fun!

I watched 1607 Movies in 2023! 🎬 (Stats)
They were amazing! The professionalism, talent, the atmosphere they created. SO good. Hearing I lied, Mine Forever, I will wait by the river and, of course, The night we met was magical. I thought the crowd was quite tame because I couldn't stay still and danced in my seat.
Id check out Bone Tomahawk. It's a very interesting take on horror in the wild west.
Some cool looking recs! My recs to you are Versus (2000), Braindead (1992), and Tokyo Gore Police (2008)
Very exciting, I’ve not seen any of those! I shall check them out sometime this month and get back to you!
❤
Are all these narrative feature films?
Yeah, this doesn’t include any documentaries, any tv shows or anything less than 60 minutes long. 👍
@@gilanes damn that's impressive. What's your letterboxd username?
Gilanes 🤙🏻
@@gilanes how are you doing in 2024,so far
Around 900 feature length movies (no included short films), but my real aim was watching a movie from every country/region. I’ve managed to do 175 places so far, so should complete the aim of it all goes to plan 🤞
crying at 7:40 tbh
Have you ever watched the Provvidenza movies? They were two Spaghetti western comedy films produced in the 1970s.
I’ve not! Do you recommend them? I’ll have to check them out as I do like my Spaghetti westerns!
@@gilanes Oh, I absolutely do! If you’re in the mood for a different kind of Spaghetti western, something goofy, like those Bud Spencer-Terence Hill flicks. The Provvidenza (English title: Providence) films are basically Spaghetti westerns, surreal humor, and Laurel and Hardy thrown into a blender. The first film is relatively easy to find, but the second film was damn near impossible to find a decent English copy of until a few years ago. I think you would like them both. They’re not on the same cinematic level as The Good, the Bad, and The Ugly, or Once Upon a Time in the West, but they are very entertaining. First film: m.th-cam.com/video/KmpD-yfiIXw/w-d-xo.html&pp=ygUbbGlmZSBpcyB0b3VnaCBlaCBwcm92aWRlbmNl Second film: m.th-cam.com/video/KIsX2k3FEBg/w-d-xo.html&pp=ygUbbGlmZSBpcyB0b3VnaCBlaCBwcm92aWRlbmNl
Love that you’ve actually linked the full movie!! Will get round to watching these and let you know what I think!
@@gilanes No problem! These movies are a bit more obscure, so it made sense for me to link them.
@@gilanes I actually had to download the second film off of some dodgy movie website, and then upload it to my secondary account just for it to be accessible in English.
great list, some of my recommendations would be pyaasa, 2 bigha zameen, awaara, andaaz apna apna, rang de basanti, talvar, the lunchbox, piku, bajirao mastani, padmaavat, ratsasan, super deluxe, drishyam, drishyam 2, vikram vedha, 96, sardar udham, uri, stree, sholay, agneepath.
This needs way more views. Good job 👍
The fact that you recorded this video while taking care of your daughter proofs you didn’t “waste” any time on those 1605 films. Really good stats man.
do you have every streaming platform? And what do you do when you cannot find a film in those platforms? I usually struggle to find some films so I wanted to hear that from you. also really impressive how you watched basically like 3 to 4 films a day. I have a long list that I want to finish and I wanted to ask you like what’s the best way like to just concentrate on films. I am a college student and I do have my free time but I like doing a bunch of stuff also so it’s hard for me to find like a moment in the day to watch just one film.
I have a good few of them. I also have used basically every “free trial subscription” Amazon has available. I also have a lot of friends with a huge DVD range that I could borrow. A lot of films pre 50s do seem to be on TH-cam as well actually or at least a good portion of the ones I’ve looked for have been! Good luck with your films as well man, any suggestions you’d recommend for me to check out?
Mannnn I bet seeing them in an intimate venue like this was insane. Lucky you!
They definitely have more rare gems 💎 on this tour!!
Thanks for sharing your experience! I can feel your excitement and it reminds me of each time I get to see them! It always feels like my first time. It’s so fun! ❤ also looking forward to your next video. I saw your saw them again, way to go! ❤🎉
The Stranger is my personal favourite. Would have loved to have heard that live!
It’s so good live and there’s many videos online of it live, the one I took in Santa Barbara, CA is amazing! I’m not just bragging for myself! Hahahaha 😂❤
Have you recorded the full concert?, without cuts? (Sorry for my inglish, i'm still learning :D)
Sadly I didn’t! But there was someone in front of me who definitely did, so fingers crossed they upload it at some point!
Woooow, i wish someday i can see them in live
3 idiots and RRR are my current faves so I'm excited to see your #2 and #1. I'm actually Indian so I've been meaning to get more into Bollywood. My main rec to you would be Lagaan: Once upon a time in India.
Man, loved both of those films! What did you think about my pick for #1 & #2? If I remember rightly, I tried to watch Lagaan but it wasn’t available anywhere over here at the moment sadly. It’s on the watchlist though!
love these vids you do mate, but i would disagree wuth you saying that hot fuzz is bad i think it better than the worlds end and not a good as Shaun of The Dead which i seen 20+ times. would you do a week on parody/rip-off/remakes of films to see how many you can watch in a week and which ones you really hate or actually like
Respect the opinion! Totally accept I’m in a tiny tiny minority on my opinions with Hot Fuzz. Love the idea as well, any examples you have for what I could watch?
Damn. No room for a subscriber to join the bracket?
Well I forgot to mention it, but if enough people were interested I’d totally do a subscriber specific one. I didn’t include it here though cause it works better having a group of people who all personally know each other as it raises the stakes a little haha.
Finally found someone who shares my thoughts on Fury Road!
We’re a very small minority. Glad someone agrees!
The little girl stole the show!
Some popular movie series I don't particularly like - The Matrix films, The Alien films, Scream, American Pie. Just not into them at all.
Hot Fuzz is my 2nd favourite movie of all time Dang :(
Totally respect that. I get why, I just don’t love it as much as others. Would still watch it regularly though.
Definitely agree with NCFOM, which tries too hard to be artistic. I would personally add Amelie, which was nauseating. And Casablanca, which I don't see the point of.
While I like Amelie and Casablanca, I totally respect those opinions. It’s always fun to see movies people dislike even when I disagree.
I was afraid you might mention the likes of "Back to the Future", "Who Framed Roger Rabbit", and "The Wizard of Oz".
Ah no, I never could. I personally love them all but especially Back to the Future!
@@gilanes That's quite a relief.
Great vid. I do think you should see F for Fake before writing off Welles completely though. I think you'll enjoy that one. His style is very well suited to pseudo doc.
Funny you say that, I’ve very nearly put that one on a few times! That’s the one of his I’ve also thought I’d enjoy, so now you’ve said that I’ll be sure to check it out! Appreciate the comment as well! 🤝🏻
hot fuzz and spirited away. damn.
Number 11 was Owls of Gahoole
@@gilanes 😰
I agree with all except Hot Fuzz and Mad Max. The Godfather imo is overrated as hell, idk if its a generational thing but I don't get how it's rated #1 let alone top 100
While I enjoyed Godfather, I totally get why you’d feel that way and even myself probably wouldn’t put it in my own personal Top 100.
The godfather is arguably the greatest film ever made 💀
I wouldn’t disagree with anyone who says that. It’s a great movie, I’m just not a big fan of Gangster movies at all.
Really love your videos, I'm always happy to see one pop up in my feed! This was a lot of fun too, I definitely agree with Ghibli movies, theres a few I like a bit more like Nausicaa (which technically isnt one but oh well). Spirited away was one I thought was fine and looked great but I'm definitely with you with the sentiment that they aren't all masterpieces. I've seen a handful of Tarentino films recently and I found reservoir dogs to be my favourite, I like the stage-play feeling and how its mostly set in 1 locations. I haven't seen many carpenter films but I also don't find him amazing, even the Thing i think is just "good" which everyone crucifies me for as a fan of horror movies haha And Mad Max Fury Road is another film I think is fine, mostly it looks cool but I'd give it a 5/10
Oh wow, that’s so nice of you to say and I really appreciate you saying that. It’s nice to know I have someone out there who enjoys the videos, even if it’s just you it makes it worthwhile! Glad we could see eye to eye on a lot of it as well! I’ve not personally seen Nausicaa before but shall add it to the list along with “Penguin Highway” which I am equally excited to check out! I feel for you on ‘the Thing’ opinion as well, when I first saw it I said the same thing and everyone at work slated me for it, they still bring it up 18 Months later hahaha. Seriously though, thanks for the support! ✌🏻
My favorite bollywood film is Lagaan (2001). Check it out!
How do you watch your movies, plex, streaming, dvd, TH-cam, torrent, kodi etc
A mixture of everything. I have a lot of the streaming services and amongst my coworkers a lot of potential DVD borrows. Honestly, a majority of the pre-1940s are on TH-cam as well, which is a huge help.
Great llist lovely daughter ,u should've put lynch movie somewhere ,love ya.
Honestly I do wanna watch more Lynch movies! I’ve seen Elephant Man and Eraserhead, both would probably be in my Top 150, so got close to getting in!
Thats awesome! Just followed you on letterboxd to keep track of what you're watching this year lol
I’ve seen that! Really appreciate that, I shall return the favour as I would be very interested in seeing your movie tastes also!
opinion on fight club ??
Huge fan. If I did a Top 150 list, it would certainly be in there. Sadly I never had the pleasure of watching it without already knowing the twist though.
Good vid my guy. Some new things to watch!
Thanks man! Means a lot to see you keep coming back!
Your content deserves more attention!
Appreciate that a lot man!
5:54 eras tour movie when?!
Give this guy an Oscar
Hi brother, I have been watching some of ur videos You are very consistent in making videos but very sad to see very low subscribers even after this long time. If you dont mind I would like to give you the suggestion to make INDIAN movies list ,reviews and reactions. It will definitely make u to reach more people.
Thanks man! I’ve planned some different focuses for each month and April I have actually planned an Indian movie month like how I did African months in January, so very excited to see how that goes
Eyyy you should make another movie bracket, man. March Madness is coming up.
Great idea! Any idea how I should do it?
@gilanes maybe you can make a video or community post announcing it, have viewers comment their submissions, and pick 16 commented movies that look interesting to you. And make sure to plug your letterboxd so commenters know how to submit movies you haven't seen yet.
Btw what's your letterbox handle
Sure, it’s ‘Gilanes’, just like this channel.
I love your videos 😊
Wow thank you! ☺️

Dang I thought my 600+ movies a year was a lot…
That’s a fck ton lol
Bro watch' indian movies you will get subs and views and very gud movies
Impressive. I watch your end of 2023 video first and commented about making a movie trip around the world. But you beat me by doing Africa in only one month. Amazing. You list of "one movie from each country in Africa" will now be my to watch-list. Although I've already watched a few. Thanks. Did you watch Yeelen from Mali? Great story telling. One of my favourites. Not made in a traditional western story telling way.
I did watch Yeelen! Was a wonderful film! I also really enjoyed (besides the list) one called Bamako from Mali as well.
Amazing stats. A couple of years ago (like 7-8 years actually) I began a "movie trip", going from country to country, not travelling but watching movies. Starting in my home country of Sweden, then Finland, then Norway, over water to Iceland, Ireland and so on. Most difficult was actually Moldavia, finding a decent movie with subtitles. Then I started my African movie trip with Egypt, going west with Sudan, the amazing movie countries of Mali and Senegal. Equatorial guinea was difficult. Only one official produced movie at that time, note even having a distribution yet. Had to wait a year to watch that movie. To sum it up, it is a fun way to experience a country through movies. In some countries I "stopped" and watch a handful before moving on. Sadly my trip came to a halt in Mozambique. Couldn't find anything with subtitles.
That’s actually a really impressive idea, I love the sound of that. I may have to implement that at some point, I can imagine it being great fun! I was tempted to also do something similar with years, so watching stuff from 1921, and from there doing 1922 until I’m ready to move on to 1923.
Really good idea I might try it next year and also what Pakistani movie you watched
@@fridenpaden I have been trying this, what's your letterboxd id and did you make a list for this? Also, which moldivian, senegalese, sudanese, Mali movie have you watched?
@@masoomahmed9560 This was long before letterbox. Problem was to find movies with subtitles. But here are som great movies that I watched: Mali: Yeleen (1987) Senegal: Borom Sarret & La Noire de (1966) Burkina Faso/Senegal?: Moolaade Guinnea-Bissau: Mortu Nega Liberia. Johnny Mad Dog I can recommend all of them. Great movies. I can't remember the Sudanese movie. I think it was about a tree. And the only thing I rememember about the Moldavian movie was that there were many scenes in bed.
@@fridenpaden thanks ☺
