Small pops good for Tuna & easy to work
Those are tuna candies, big splashes easy to work and casts well with the right setup
Can hardly hear you, got to get a microphone with a wind cover. also don't stop doing the lure descriptive videos indoor, really enjoy those.
The wind was annoying!! Unfortunately it was the only day a mate could act as videographer. A new indoor video is coming. It’ll be scheduled to go live on the channel in October 👍

Annoyingly no!! If I did however it’d be likely to be a bass (Dicentrarchus labrax). Thank “F” there were no seals about!!!

An assist hook to my knowledge
Those have caught me just lots of mahi, blackfin and yellowfin tuna's. With short taps it even has a walk the dog action. I fish mine on a pe2 or 3 setup and 40 to 50lb leader. They make a smaller splash compared to a similar sized feed popper, but it seems to be all about the bubble trail.

thanks for overview, going to pair it with my new Slammer 8500. Are you still happy with it ?
The rod was great. However my Slammer 4 6500 was utter shite, it destroyed it gears in less than 20hrs use. I’ve stopped using Penn tackle completely now (I’ve had 2 smaller slammers do the same)
I caugth a jack (5kg) on this shad (same size but pink). No problem with the hooks at all. The shad animation underwater is suprisingly good.(you can feel it vibrate in the rod)
Hi, WhatsApp do you think about saltiga rods travel, in four or three parts?
Not seen/used them. There are 2 issues as far as I can see: 1. What’s their transport length? Some are close to 100cm. Ie SO long that you need a specialist bag. This is why I now 99.9% of the time use 2 section butt joint rods and a decent rod tube. 2. Do the number of joints affect the rods action? On cheaper rods, yes on the expensive travel rods no. I couldn’t be bothered with the hassle of LONG section travel rods, hence 2 section rods are pretty much all I use now

What these lures? There is no action whatsoever!
They are a skipping lure, acting like a fleeing baitfish. Many tropical fish love this type of lure, they chase and attack it. If this type of lure wasn’t effective, manufacturers wouldn’t make them
When you flatten the barb the hook starts to rust there... Otherwise i love the idea.

@@PoppersStickbaits well i done it with other brands of hooks. Even Bkk lone sniper and all rusted on the barb... And im fishing in fresh water. Guess those lone diablo are really good !! I will try them out. Thanks
@@petarkordov3432 I fished HARD for a week in Costa Rica, rinsed lures daily and did a freshwater 24hr soak when I got home, dried off and had literally zero rust/corrosion - BKK Lone Diablo hooks really impressed me 👍
How do you find the PG when working Stickbaits / Poppers?
Absolutely fine, if needed you just alter your retrieve speed

Hi there, although I don’t know the MC rods you mention, I do know their other lighter rods are very very good. As for a rod that will cast both poppers and stickbaits, you’ll be after a compromise (poppers need a stiff tip, whereas stickbaits need a softer tip), take a look at the Temple Reef Ronin range which are excellent. The #1 lure for wahoo fishing used by the San Diego, California fishing fleet on long range trips. Either this 200 size or the 220. The Nomad rings you talked about upgrading are strong enough to handle the 25-30lbs of drag we use on these trips. I, myself, have caught as many as 4 wahoo on one trip on the 200 size. We crimp 175 lb multi strand cable, usually 2-4 feet to a swivel to the main line. Wahoo fishing is the most exciting fishing you will find, for those who haven''t done it, yet! Screammmin' reels to all!

New to poppers what’s the reason for a treble hook and a single hook vs two treble hooks?
The barbless treble helps the popper dig into the water rather than skip out of it, whereas singles on the tail, generally give better and stronger hook holds. Check out the other popper reviews in the Playlists

You said this holds 4-10. Did this include reels? If not, approximately how many with reels do you think you can you get is this one? I would have padded reel cases on each one. I'd like to have the space for 5-6 rods with reels. Thanks!
That’s not something I’d personally do as it could damage the rods. However if it’s something you’d happily “risk” I’d suggest the next sport tube up, ie the larger Sportube 2.

Nice popper and good place for cast, you can recommend a good popper and stickbait for GT,y got a MC works rood all that tuna 846 pe 6/10 /150gr.... with Stella 14000xg,never have a possibility to catch a GT but this year aim going to Red Sea (Egipt)for this fish....if you can help me tell my something,thanks
For the stickbait I’d recommend an Amegari Mehe in blue mackerel (there’s one for sale on eBay at the moment) and for the popper a Heru Cubera. Good luck!!

I’ve replaced the trebles as in my opinion there’s no need for them. The hooks are BKK Lone Diablos, 5/0 on the tail and 4/0 in the middle. I hope this helps
