Great video on your 1st year of full time RV living. Boon docking is not in our future but, I do love all of your informative videos. We have the same RV 2022 Model. Based on your videos, I switched from 2 LA batteries to 2 LI batteries. I had to mess around with the Victron Solar MPPT and get it to the correct setting. LI battery weight compared to those LA batteries is amazing. I also started watching your fishing videos and enjoy them as well.

That is the base oil you can use synthetic oil 5w30 . I use wix Xp filter and 5w30 ultra platinum pennzoil. Just keep your receipt s and don’t go over five thousand on oil change.

My first mod every time is vent visors, so I can leave my windows cracked in the summer. Also nice for driving in the rain and letting in that fresh air.

If I am building a truck camper and going to upgrade suspension to something more off road from Carli than the need to tow or haul a heavy load. Should I go with 250 since changing suspension anyway?

Really helpful... though it's a shame they don't make something all in one box. The charger/solar charger/inverter etc. so all you do is connect the battery and solar.

If the sticker on my chevy 2500 says I can bumper pull a 12,000 pound trailer when other 2500's can do 18,500 pounds because I have mud terrain tires and those others have all terrain tires, if I switch my tires out to all terrain I should be okay to theoretically tow an 18,500 trailer right? That's the only thing different I was able to find between my truck and other 2500s

Tailgate electric lock works when you lock or unlock the doors. A quick release for the rear seats, and Rear Wheel Well Guards in the wheel wells to keep mud and debris out of the wheel well. Also, glue on anti-scratch pads for the rocker panel inside the doors protects the painted area when you enter or exit the truck. I also did a DIY for the remote start, bought an OEM antenna from Amazon, installed it behind the glove box, (wire is already there from the factory) took the truck to a dealer, bought a remote start key, had the dealer configure the computer to the remote start key, and away I go. That ran about $200-$250.

I have a 2024 3/4 gmc 3360 payload 20,000 towing with a Duramax. I do have the max tow package which actually makes it a 1 ton.

Awesome, my black is clogged. Weird as I never flush toilet paper, But the last few tanks didn't put in additives to dissolve.

Just wanted to say...I have this same exact setup...(MultiPlus 2 120 X 2 50 amp)... but in a "12 volt" parallel system on my fifth wheel...and contrary to popular belief, it works perfectly!...and the 4/0 gauge DC wiring does not get too hot...(warm to the touch)...even on a 95 degree day with both roof ac's running...I have eight 300ah batteries hooked in parallel for a total of 2400ahs....I also have 2000 watts of solar....and an on board 3500 watt generator...Just needed to make a shout out for us 12 volt RV fans...and no conversion to 12 volt necessary... :0)

Payload is a regulatory rating. Don't you think its odd until recently all 3/4 tons had a 10000 GCWR? RAWR is what you need to be concerned with. I base everything I can haul/tow on the RAWR, not payload rating.

Just completed my install of this same system, and all it did was make me buy 5 thousand dollars of more batteries!...because it does run 2 roof airs, but MAN, it sucks down the batteries in no time...I'm talking real world when its 95 degrees out!

We are a lot the same. "Get the job done" and it will perform as well as the guys who are still worrying about are the panels inline, square to 1mm. Enjoy the extra recharge power you earned it installing on a hot day.

You were supposed to use Romex cable like the kind the factory used inside your rig to run to your inverter...the bigger solid strands are safer and I assume required...plus you should have installed a junction box in there and not simply twisted the 2 different kinds of strands together...(not the safest).

I have a ‘19 F-250 6.2L 3.73 axles. Average 11-12mpg mixed driving. Best I ever got on a long highway drive was 15. Will occasionally get 10 or less when running short distances and/or hauling heavy. Also installed a dump insert into the bed 3 years ago.

Have you found the dual 3000's are sufficient for your 50 Amp rig? I have a 3000 mulltiplus in my current 30amp rig, but we're moving to a 50amp diesel pusher and I've been trying to figure out the best option. I really wish Victron has a 120x2 in a 5000va 48v Battery configuration. Great video btw! I love those dinkle wiring blocks.

I have same Victron Multiplus II setup but the 48v system. Can only push 20 amps max in parallel. So, only like 2300 watts on each leg.

Off topic. But why did you choose to live in your Camper?

That sounds good for car tires, but I seriously doubt that it could air up 95psi motorhome tires - not even one at a time. It might go from 90psi to 95 psi in 10 minutes, but that's about it. If they made an upgraded one rated for motorhome/18wheeler tires I'd consider it. Right now, I use one similar to the Viair that you set the pressure, and it turns off automatically, but its only good for about 80-95psi on one motorhome tire before it overheats and shuts down and you have to wait 20 minutes for it to cool down. They say it has a 100% duty cycle, but it does not. This is the one I use that is barely adequate for my needs. www.amazon.com/dp/B0C9LZJ9VY What I really need is a Viair 450P-RV, which is over $300.

I run a 10k BTU window AC , it only uses 350 watts about. Cools down my 34 foot trailer nice. If i had to do a rooftop or add another AC I would most likely add a mini split.

I am really impressed with this little griddle. However, I don’t see it as a viable replacement for the gas grill. I believe steaks and chicken will do better on the grill. Meanwhile smash burgers and steak and cheese/Philly cheese steaks call for the griddle. I would carry both in that storage cubby. It all depends on what’s for Supper.

Ford oil filters are built really well, you don’t know what you’re talking about. . The ford oil I don’t think is that great and it doesn’t have as many additives like Mobil 1 fs. You need to do more research before telling people that don’t know any better things that you didn’t research. Sorry for being that guy. Just kidding I love your video hahahaha but I am right.

I drive a 22 F550 service truck with the 7.3 and have lifter failure at 49000 miles. Being worked on now. Oil changes done at 30% on the oil life counter at the dealer.

I believe that starting in 2017 the transmission is different as well.
