I've lived in Ottawa for 6 years and the idea of moving to the GTA feels a bit unsettling especially being one who really prefers quiet living. If people from all over the world move to your home town, it will no longer be your home town. Should be obvious, but remember that someone pointed this out to you when you move away.

The Oshawa Harbor Road area near Lakeview Park will be the new site of a large condo complex (Nahid). This area is largely an industrial/park area but as you drive west on Harbor Road you approach South Simcoe Road. Hopefully this development will spur the development of stores/restaurants etc-as This area has remained essentially undeveloped for decades

You didn’t mention the increased crime especially in the north end. More and more shootings and stabbings. The downtown is infested with drug addicts/homeless. I wouldn’t go down there late at night. Don’t leave a bicycle out or propane cylinder. Your car will most likely get broken into so take precautions. The driving has gotten really bad with all the immigrants and international students. Personally I’m leaving.

I've lived in oshawa basically my whole life. You forgot to mention the huge homeless problem and drugs run wild around the downtown core. Also the condos downtown are 2200 for a single that's not cheap. I know this video is 4 years old and your points are accurate but you might as mention the whole of oshawa the good and bad. People aren't as friendly as they used to be the busses are absolutely packed all day. Oshawa is almost to small now. Guess your sales pitch worked lol

I have lived in Columbus for 23 years and it is a wonderful community. It is a small town feel with all the amenities within a short drive. We have many community yearly events in Columbus such as Canada Day, Family Day , Strawberry fest in late June and our Annual yard Sale in September. We have a gas station/Timmy's and a Day Care Center that has operated for a number of years. It's a wonderful place to live with lots of great neighbors that are very much involved in the community. ❤ Columbus

Affordable housing in oshawa ? Based on what metric. The crack den in the south? Certainly not the north where you can't afford to buy a townhouse filled with college an university rentals around you that is most likely a 3 storey box that you overpay for. And dont lie about it, the overpopulation in Canada has led to this partially in the north end as you said the crime rate has risen there disproportionate to the rest of the town even though the south end had its stupid share of crime that continues to exist.. Lol property tax margins in Durham are higher then the city of toronto And whitby an ajax and pickering are just nicer towns not filled with as much garbage. Your whole video has issues. Con = crime. Call the police, they don't come in time. By-laws don't know/understand the by-laws. "Downtown nobody wants to go anymore." Really? When did they go? Con = property taxes too high.

Northglen is the #1 neighborhood in Oshawa and has been since the 1970s. Everyone knows "The Glens". Nobody cares about the airport because the planes don't fly over Northglen, they fly over other neighborhoods.

Not 100 percent sure but I believe I saw you like an hour ago while I was pushing a stroller (near Jack Wilson park ). My husband and I love your videos and moved back to Whitby. I was taking a walk and I saw you walk with your dog. If it wasn’t you then you definitely have a doppelgänger in Whitby.

amazing video, i have grown up in oshawa my entire life. celina and john street area (yes not the greatest of areas) but has taught me a lot in life have seen the worst of the worst but. do you happen to help people (families) find rentals ?

The bus routes are ridiculous ! It's very obvious that the people who change the routes never take the bus !

Walking in downtown Whitby is never dangerous or crowded. You'll feel safe browsing through stores, looking in windows without fear of being mugged, panhandled, or harassed.

The Whitby Library's La Presse eatery is a well-kept secret of culinary delights. For an escape from the everyday world, grab a panini and a paperback book. You'll be glad you did!

Bowmanville is the best my friend, services are 5 - 10min drive, cell phone is ok, bell fibre connection is here, groceries 5min drive, i live 3min drive from 401, much better than west gta, not crowded, and best durham region city, not worried about distance from toronto thanks :)
