It's dead.... Simple

I seem to be getting hit by things I wouldn’t get hit by before the game overall feels harder for me maybe it’s just cause I haven’t played in a hot minute but even when I dodge I still get hit by the stuff is it just me? 😭

A life service game needs money to exist so understand the decisions of the developers

I can live with it... found strong builds and everything is back to normal for me

Player of Dauntless since closed beta. Proud owner of founders pack. What originally drew me to this game was a free-to-play raw monster-hunting experience with approachable controls, straightforward mechanics, and an easy on the eyes art style. . The original roster of behemoths, pre-reforge, had teeth that players had to grind against to foster the skill required to progress. The weapon and armour choices was limited but had variety. Those days were good. . Post-reforge, the difficulty was toned down, which made the game easier to onboard new players but left those after a tough, skill based, mon-hunter experience disappointed. Still, the game flourished somewhat under the more manageable behemoths and systems. Those days were great. . Awakening, only recently released, it has been spurned by most of its community for a few reasons. Removal of dozens, hundreds, if not thousands of hours of work by the players who put it into the reforge version to gather the weapons, rare armours and rare items that made all that time special. . In tally, Awakening; adds 5 things removes 7 things changes 9 things . But for the many players upset with awakening, the value of what was removed far outweighs the things that were added. . This is a different game now, the people who made the original game are long gone, it its place is an obscure MMO whose fate is yet to be decided. . I encourage all to review how much value they will get from this new MMO now that it's out, and if a different game might be better instead.

Sad how they f up a ok game and made it worse cause too many people complaining about builds now its soooo worse that you can't make a good build with all that extra that comes with it plus you can't keep builds in your load outs... so thanks to all the noobs who don't know how to build missed up the game for us vets

I used to do good with timing, but now timing is so fked up, you dodge and still get hit by the behemoths. Even without new content I prefer the good old Dauntless any day, I hope they can just give us an offline version. So sad all the time I’ve put into this game has gone out the window 😢

Nah, just upgrade the armors to have higher tier effects, the weapons... We barely use some of them, and now defense and attack not defined by reforge, similar to the old times, the bad thing is the lack of weapon variety, but at least the game has a feeling of progresion now. Let's give it a chance.

The worst part imo is that it seems like good builds are simply impossible to make. Ive tried just about ever combo you can imagine and none of them are even close to as strong as the builds pre update

Yeah, y’know, no one really likes crafting different and cool weapons from parts, no one liked cores and their passive buffs, and certainly NO ONE likes the exotic weapon quests you had to find and play to earn a unique weapon for all your hard work Let’s just remove all that useless shit

Im so tempted to splurge for one since shotguns take FOREVER to unload all the ammo. Tbf anything Ace Barrel.or above just point blank slings zombies away. Any damage boost is overkill cept on a few. But skinny long arms and below get 1 shot as do exploding zombies so be careful

Now with HCIM and events like halloween you can easily make 500k a day. Loot crate loot spots + boss grinding + inc loot basicallu free GM = loot galore. Since marketplace is pretty much dead for non GMs may as well stick to scrapping
