i though the backup horn was a K3LA
that’s the secondary horn i believe. not sure but it was just using its air horn. Not completely sure tho i could be wrong or it maybe the k3 wasn’t working

The flat top cars are still new they are still reliable and the new bombardier car which is the 2nd last car is the new ones that are being refurbished

I saw 171 leading Amtrak Cascades 3-4 times and her horn is so charming
As a Whittier Railfan myself, I always hear that train horn at my house at around 6:00 PM and scurry to lambert to catch it. Only have been successful 2 times lol

What happened to 852’s purple board?
got into an accident and killed someone and they changed its color from purple to white. Very sad.
